Publisher's summary

Christian Kringle: college professor, reluctant Santa, and...fake dating my neighbor?

I'm a grinch and proud of it—but this year, there’s no avoiding the Christmas cheer.

First, I get roped into playing Santa. Shudder. Then, while trying to dodge a setup with my boss' brother, I somehow promise to attend a holiday party with my boyfriend—who doesn't exist.

Next thing I know, my (soon-to-be former) best friend has set up a profile on a hookup app to find me a date. With the username of...wait for it...SantaWantsYourChimney.

Go ahead and laugh. He sure did, the traitor.

Before I can delete the profile, I match with an easygoing guy with amazing photos. His teasing about Santa kink makes me laugh, and blush, and feel things I haven't since my divorce. For the first time in years, I look forward to dating.

Until we meet, and he turns out to be my neighbor. My very young, very off-limits neighbor who I've clashed with for years. Only now I know just how sexy, charming, and sweetly devoted to his daughter he is.

I should walk away, but I still need that fake boyfriend. The only problem? Jaxson's so convincing I can't tell where the pretense ends and real feelings begin.

Falling for him is easy. Loving his daughter? Effortless. Trusting that I can keep them is the hard part.

It'll take the magic of love, family, and yes—even Christmas—to teach this old grinch new tricks.

Sexted by Santa is a stand-alone holiday romance set in the Thrust into Love universe.

Melt my heart

Such a great story/audiobook. Super enjoyable and pretty darn cute.

Christian Kringle is as grumpy as they come. Christmas spells bad memories for him. Add to that his sweet, attractive and younger neighbour dislikes him.

When it turns out that he is also the very sexy guy on the dating app that he just clicks with, things get interesting.

I love how these two unravel their feelings and navigate their growing attraction and their realization that they may have misjudged the other.

Miscommunication and not sharing feelings are common plot devices, but I love that these two bucked that trend. Even when things could have completely unravelled, they managed to work through it together.

There’s something super special about found families and building a home, especially in a Christmas story. And Christian’s softening and finding his joy again was also pretty special.

All in all, a really fun holiday story, one that narrator Nick Russo did a wonderful job on. He did a great job of capturing all the characters and the emotions within. 4.5 Stars

Playing Santa

So you need a date for the faculty Christmas party and your best friend creates a profile for you on a dating app. Sounds like trouble right….you have no idea. To top it off you have been coerced into playing Santa for your Aunt Henri and you are a grumpy professor who doesn’t like Christmas. Throw in a neighbor with a daughter and you have a funny, story. This story is so charming I actually listened to it twice.

enjoyed it - solid 4.5 stars

Picked this one up purely because I was in the mood for something "Christmassy" and the cover caught my attention. I have a couple of DJ Jamison books (although none in the Thrust Into Love series) and I enjoy Nick Russo as a narrator so basically other than the Publisher's Summary went in with no expectations. Happy to report - I was delighted and listened to the entire book over the course of a single day.

📖 Story comment: easy pace and likeable characters, set at Christmas - but not "overly" Christmassy. Has all the usual elements that make up a good holiday story. The "grinchy" guy forced into Christmas activities, the single dad doing everything he can for his 8 year old daughter, an event in the third act [** sorry - no spoilers**] that rocks the foundations of the growing relationship. I liked that this story is about the relationship and not just all se*y time.

🎧 Narrator comment: I enjoy Nick J Russo as a narrator, he suits these types of characters and stories, he has good timing, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall an enjoyable performance.

The Professor and the Single Dad

Sexted by Santa is a perfect holiday listen, complete with a Grumpy/Sunshine, age gap (no Littles), whimsical aunt and an adorable little girl. Though it is part of the Thrust Into Love series, it can absolutely be read as a standalone.

TW for a child with health issues, though it is covered delicately and considerately in the story.

Nick J. Russo's delivery is touching, poignant and hilarious in equal measure.

This low angst, learning-to-trust, found family story has plenty of steam, plenty of funny and an HEA.

Building a Family for Christmas!

This was one of those audibles you do not want to stop listening to! I had my headphones back on every second I could! Christian and Jaxson were real guys with regular personality quirks that stem directly from the troubled experiences and situations in their lives. Somehow overtime these two just keep falling into each other's lives. First when Jaxson was a student, then as a neighbor, then as a Santa at work, and then on a dating app! Talk about destiny. Their relationship however does progress at perfect pace once they start getting to know each other. There is hot banter intertwined with each of them giving consideration to the other and what they wanted and needed. Nick was the perfect narrator as he brought out both of their everyday personalities and spiced up the sexy times! He also narrated Jaxon's daughter young Tori to bring out her adorable yet determined side. Single Dad, Slight Age Gap romance with plenty of feel-good humor, sexy chemistry and the usual Holiday friend and family drama to spice it all up.

Twas so sweet...

Having read this in ebook form first, I have to say that the audiobook is the best way of reading this one.

So in here we have Jackson, a young guy who is raising his diabetic young daughter on his own and is often overwhelmed. While this narrative was pushing the fact that it was his mother's fault he had to drop out of college to take care of his own kid, I disagree. Mom did not knock someone up so young. Mom was not the one having sex, but I digress.

When he was in college, he had a professor named Kris Kringle. Kris was an uptight fella whose husband cheated on him and they got divorced.

During all this, Jackson bought a house next door to Kris. They have not gotten along since Kris told Jackson it would be bad to drop out and Jackson thought he was being disapproving towards him.

One day, both were bored and went on the app that ties all of these books together. They start sexting and decide to meet up and are very surprised to find out who was who.

Eventually these two get together and work it all out.

You do not need to have read the other books in the series to read this one.

The narration was top notch, Nick Russo did a great job.

Sweet, spicy and steamy!

I loved everything about this story!! Christian is Jaxson’s grinchy neighbor and at one time was his college professor. Jaxson had to quit college to raise his daughter Tori and that irked Christian. I adored Tori!! The author did a fantastic job with the Type 1 diabetes. I literally couldn’t stop listening! I absolutely loved this story!! Nick J Russo did a fantastic narration! Each voice was clearly defined and distinct. Overall the story was really well written, highly recommend!

Funny and heartwarming

When a grumpy grinch of a professor and a sunshine single-dad decide to fake date for the holidays, what could go right? Everything. This was a highly enjoyable seasonal listen with real characters, real-life holiday party shenanigans, and just enough tension to keep it rolling along. The narration was spot-on and made the listen feel over too soon. Highly recommended!

Thrust does it again!

This series is so sweet and fun. Sexted by Santa was no exception. Christian Kringle is, ironically, a grumpy grinch who is tricked into being Santa for a charity. Jaxson is a single dad, struggling to get by and deal with his daughter’s type I diabetes, while also being the best dad he can be. They are neighbors. They do not like each other. But oh how things can change when pre-conceived notions are put aside and these two accidentally, anonymously start texting. I enjoyed seeing them, especially grumpy Christian, let their walls down. These two were magnetic and I can’t get over how perfect their little chosen family is and their ending is. Thrust is such a great matchmaker! 😂

Nick J Russo did an amazing job. I love the way he conveys emotions, he is so good at serious ones. Love his work.
