Fantastic!

The voice over was so beautiful done, her accent was stunning, and the story was phenomenal! It leaves the listeners questioning if they would support their family member in the situations given in this book or if they would have snapped and let them sink.

Entertaining

I felt this book not literally but in my own way. This book to me was about the unhealthy relationships of blood bondage and expectation.

Great listen!

I loved this book. as a person who has always been in to serial killers I love how the author went back and not only broke down the psychology and criminal aspect of the serial killer but also used past and present killers as a reference for what he is talking about.

Wonderful!

This book is not your average study about serial killers. It's mostly the narrator reading the letters exchanged between a young man who has a traumatic brain injury and convicted serial killers. So you hear them recall their crimes and hear how they answer the questions the man asks. It is rather graphic when crimes are being retold so if you have a weak stomach this isn't or you. I found myself looking around a lot more (for safety) the more I read this. Interesting use of the information the man gets and at first you think it's insane the parents went along with it.

Well narration

Not for the faint of heart, this book is full of bragging, self absorbed, detailed accounts of murders by serial killers. The narration was awesome, adding a spooky element. There are no court room battles or legal jargon, I had to take a couple breaks during the story because these events are hard hitting. It’s scary to think that these types of people often blend in to our society, until they don’t. Unsettling is a good word.

Awesome

I love the narrator her has narrated other books that I have listened and his voice fits. When he reads as Shawcross he sounds just like you think he would sound. Following his son through the stages he went through after the accident are helpful to understand what really goes on inside some other these killers.
