Really enjoyed - worth the download

Great book, it's inspiring and uplifting. If you need a mental boost, give it a listen. You'll be happy you did.

Saw some other reviews which panned the narration a bit. I'd disagree. I liked Hillary's narration - seems perfect for this book. Give it a try for yourself.

Just didn't like the narration

Would you try another book from Florence Scovel Shinn and/or Hillary Hawkins?

Yes I would try another book from Florence Scovel Shinn, but I don't think I would from Hillary Hawkins, but maybe a different subject with her voice might be just fine.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Hillary Hawkins?

I don't know exactly, someone with a more serious grown up voice. A voice such as Kathleen Turner.

Was The Game of Life and How to Play It worth the listening time?

Yes and no. The subject is almost whimsical because it is spiritual and filled with miracles, the voice made it almost comical. Like it couldn't be taken seriously and I believe and experienced miracles.

prefer a different narrator

This narrator's voice just didnt seem to fit what i would imagine The author sounding like. I prefer Rosemary Benson's naraation of this book.

Love the message but ...

I so wanted to listen to this recommended book and truly loved each word written. Unfortunately, the narrator spoke too quickly, even at the slowest speed and the emotions were forced at times. I made myself to listen to the book in it's entirety, but I may consider buying the actual book instead.

Great book. Distracting narration

Great book. While the narrator is ok, her accent and delivery is not representative of the era the book was written in. I found that distracting.

Very Poor Narration

I had to buy the print copy as narration is incredibly poor. In the beginning the narrator is speaking so fast I couldn't understand some of the words & throughout ends of words are dropped. Very disappointing.

Narrator's voice was very annoying

Beyond the annoyance of her voice quality, the mockery of her attempt to vocalize the "colored" person in chapter 10 was despicable.

More appropriate narrator required!

Really didn't think the narrator was appropriate for the book. Otherwise quite interesting perceptions.. Hard to find examples given as genuine bit could be just Narrator's lightweight approach.

Mind/game changer

The books main theme is - what you give you will get back. Here I write this review as an act of giving so that I may recieve a helpful review on a book I'll look at in future.

If you've done nothing before in learning mindset control, this exactly what you want to listen to to start your subconscious mind reprogramming for a successful happy life.
