Wouldn't you like to escape the hectic pace of modern life and enjoy a worry-free, self-reliant lifestyle? A lifestyle in which your family builds and shares lasting memories of growing your own food in a natural setting instead of spending hours in front of televisions and computers?

Whether you hope to move to the country or simply stay closer to the city, this book will tell you:

  • How to create streams of self-sufficient and passive income wherever you are
  • How you can live a vibrant, healthy lifestyle and take care of yourself and your family
  • How you can get out of debt just as others did on their path to self-sufficiency
  • The 23 critical questions to ask before buying rural property
  • That you can insulate yourself from financial collapse and "SHTF" doomsday scenarios
  • How to retire happy and how to use homesteading as the new retirement plan

Featuring profiles of 18 homesteaders and farmers who share intimate stories of their own journeys toward a healthier, freer, more fulfilling lifestyle, this audiobook provides actionable ideas that you can use to achieve your dream of self-sufficiency. From how others got out of debt, to what to consider before buying land, to the critical steps to take when setting up a sustainable homestead or farmstead business, this book details the strategies that will save you money, generate income, and put you on the path to self-sufficiency. From the best-selling author of The Accidental Farmers.

I wrote this book hoping to inspire you to pursue a more self-sufficient lifestyle, just as I did many years ago. Becoming more self-sufficient doesn't mean you have to go "all-in", you can choose the level of self-sufficiency you desire.

Informative, helpful book.

Unlike some other reviewers I did not have any problems with listening to the reader. I found the content relative, detailed, and helpful in planning for my own move to homesteading. The ideas are useful, varied, and easily adaptable to skill sets and products not listed specifically in the book, although the ideas given are an excellent springboard for brainstorming. I plan on purchasing a paper copy to keep as a reference.

Very helpful and informative.

I really enjoyed listening to this book it shoots straight and tells you what mistakes there are to be made in first persuing homesteading. The author and his included interviews with other homesteaders don't negate your drive to have a life less encumbered but instead show you ways to achieve that life with eyes opened wide to the trials you will face. Many of the desires expressed spoke directly to my heart and unlike the unhelpful criticism of friends and family let me know that I am not alone in the desire to live a life less hectic and more natural. I have much praise for this publication. If you want to adopt a life at your own pace, seek a peaceful times passed existence or just leave the modern world's drive for the dollar behind and gain a bit of freedom this book is for you! I purchased the audio book yesterday and I have listened to it thrice. Thank you, Tim Young!

Content lacking.

Seemed like a book written just to make money rather than give good info. Lacking useful content.

Good but wanted more

The stories flowed well. I felt like I needed and wanted more details. Maybe some more about business planning? Not sure what I expected. This book is good encouragement, I guess but certainly not a "how-to".

Exactly what I was looking for!

This book was exactly what I needed! It's wonderful if you're considering a self sufficient life. it gives you plenty to consider, a wide variety of income ideas, and emphasizes the fact that homesteading doesn't have to be an all or nothing venture. I will definitely recommend this book to others! Thack you!

Just ideas and examples.

I was looking for more of a how to book. There are many ideas and things to think about, but not much nitty-gritty.

THE DUDE READING SUCKS

What disappointed you about How to Make Money Homesteading?

The guy who is reading sounds like he has gum in his mouth and it is very distracting and gross.

Would you be willing to try another one of Joel Parks’s performances?

NO not if he sounds like this in them

Any additional comments?

I can't believe they let this guy read this book for money. He sounds like an amateur and it sucks I have to listen to him to listen to this book
