Nella vicenda del Cavaliere del drago si è imbattuto nel 2010 Emanuele Arioli: Segurano è il protagonista di un romanzo del ciclo arturiano composto in antico francese nell'Italia del Duecento, tanto celebre nell'Europa del Medioevo e fino al Rinascimento inoltrato quanto dimenticato nei secoli successivi. E così anche lo studioso è partito alla sua quête, individuando le tracce di Segurano in ventotto manoscritti dispersi per le biblioteche di mezza Europa e oltre.
