I am team Evie all the way!

I didn’t love Endless Knight as much as I did it predecessor, but the difference between how much I loved each is so minute it’s like comparing the love of Hershey Kisses vs. Hershey Chocolate Bars.

Now call me crazy, and I am sure many will, but I don’t like either lead male characters.  I find them both abusive and hold Evie back in some way.  Jack was starting to redeem himself except he was still treating Evie like she was a fragile flower when she so isn’t.  Not to mention he is an alcoholic, which yeah that’s a great guy to start a healthy relationship.  Then there is Death who is centuries old pining over a little girl, and he can’t get over things done in past lives.  Issues much!  Don’t get me started on the torture cuff; WTF was that!  Yeah, not a fan of either.  But I am a massive fan of Evie.  I love her strength of character and her ability to stay on the right side when everything is driving her to do the opposite.  She has a lovely heart that is pushing her to do what is right, in a world that has gone drastically wrong.

It's an excellent story, and I can’t wait to jump into the next one.  Which lucky me I already own.  The story is thrilling, full of passion (in a PG13 sense) and keeps you enthralled from the first world.  I loved it.

Amazing

This story is so amazing. When I wasn't listening, I was thinking about the characters non-stop. Sitting at my desk today, trying to go over schedules and plan for an open house in less than a week, I kept going over dialogue in my head, distracted. This is the sign of a great story. I think I'm in love. ;)

I love Emma Galvin's narration, as well. She does a great job...one of the only female narrators I can listen to and enjoy. I prefer male narrators, but I do enjoy her and have purchased other books based solely on her being the narrator.

It’s such a joy rereading this series. I forgot so many of the cool details and I find myself being surprised all over again and I love it.

Nice Sequel

Would you consider the audio edition of Endless Knight to be better than the print version?

No, I actually read most of the book. I'm not sure if it's because the previous audiobooks I listened to (Susan Ericksen in the In Death series) are excellent hence the comparison and I found the narration for this book lacking.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I couldn't distinguish who is speaking, when Evie is thinking or speaking aloud. So to give justice to the book I had to read it instead.

One of the best romance/dystopian series!

I'm 35, but I enjoy YA dystopian series immensely. This one is perfect for older readers because the erotic parts are very detailed. It's not overloaded with eroticism though like some other books, but just enough. The terrific original storyline is what kept me reading. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys what I'm describing! The narrators are awesome too! I hope the next book is just as amazing. I rarely write reviews, but I had to for this book! I have been hooked on it and couldn't stop listening!

a great story, but a little predictable

In the second chapter of the Arcana Chronicles, Evie is growing more comfortable with her powers but finds herself in increasing danger. In this installment, Evie will meet the cannibals and come face to face with death. As she learns more about her past lives as the Empress, she also learns more about the game and the other cards, which will lead her to learn more than perhaps she wants to know.

I do not want to give away too much, but there were a few things in this story that seemed a little predictable with today's YA novels. That being said, I still really did enjoy this book and will be starting book 3 immediately.
