Publisher's summary
What could be better than a party with your friends in New York City? In the year 2035? The future is bright. In fact the future is already here! But this future, unfortunately, is filled with kidnappings and killings, described herein with dark humor and satire. Demon humor. Demon satire.
But these demons are from outer space! How did we get here? I mean, we have robots that float about hither and thither to protect us. Robot doctors. Even robots inside us now. Did I mention it's a year far in the future, 2035?
Love is still alive. In fact Zach loves Mallory, and Mallory loves Zach. But Zach - who should be a demon hunter - is in a coma. Mallory's disappeared, presumed dead. Timothy James has been captured (his friends call him Timmy Jimmy). Patty Patty is in serious danger, and gosh darn it all, she's just a kid. All of them are cut down in their prime by beasts without feeling, without souls. It's the end of the world as we (haven't yet) know it. Love, sex, death: This book has it all. Plus robots.

Story
When the aliens came down and told us they’d enslave all of the human race if we didn’t send our bigliest warrior to participate in their arena death games, I laughed at them. It was really funny because they obviously didn’t know who they were dealing with. Know what I mean? Then they said they would pick the greatest warrior, and they picked Marc Havak. He seemed like such an average guy, but he was a true-blue American. He even worked as a truck driver! That’s the kind of good guy we want defending us from aliens.

Normally that's a combo that leaves him well-equipped to handle any problems that come his way. Until now. Something is snatching Boston's most powerful paranormal entities right off the streets. Vampires, lycanthropes, fae, gremlins - no one is safe. No ransom notes, no bodies, no witnesses.

Eighteen-year-old Aidan Salt isn't a superhero. With his powerful (and unpredictable) telekinetic abilities, he could be one if he wanted to, but he doesn't. He's unambitious, selfish, and cowardly, and he doesn't want to have to deal with all the paperwork required to become a professional superhero. But since the money, fame, and women that come with wearing the cape are appealing, he decides to become the first supervillain the world has seen in more than 20 years: Apex Strike.

In his time, Earth is a toxic, abandoned world, and humans have fled into the outer solar system to survive, eking out a fragile, doomed existence among the other planets and their moons. Story
Even in Empire City, a town where weird science is the hope for tomorrow, it's hard for a robot to make his way. It's even harder for a robot named Mack Megaton, a hulking machine designed to bring mankind to its knees. But Mack's not interested in world domination. He's just a bot trying to get by, trying to demonstrate that he isn't just an automated smashing machine, and to earn his citizenship in the process. It should be as easy as crushing a tank for Mack, but some bots just cant catch a break.

Worst thing i have ever heard on Audible
Story is convoluted to the extreme. Characters are unlikable. Its written like a story a 7th grader would do. I think you should buy it just to see how bad it really is.
