Publisher's summary

Having survived Atlantis, the town of Indian Hill beckons. As Mike and Trip make their way toward Indian Hill and are in search of some much needed answers, Jack is fast on their heels. It is a dangerous journey fraught with all manner of creatures. Zombies, Night Runners and the Alien Whistlers do their best to prevent the trio from ever going home again. The Whistlers are constantly roaming the wilds in search of food, the zombies gather in large groups, and the night runners own the night.

Will they survive the nightmarish beasts only to be shredded by time itself? Trip may have some knowledge that could help, but extracting it from him is proving exceedingly difficult. Mike's memories are being tattered, and Jack's soul is tortured as he makes one final desperate bid to get back to his family. Time is truly running out. Will the group manage to get back to their original worlds before this one folds into nothingness?

A great pairing of authors

Jack, Tripp and Mike are still trying to get back home.  They traverse through some deadly night runners, whistlers and smart zombies; they find themselves caught up in several dimensional rifts and Tripp’s rare moments of lucidity.    Non-stop action keeps the listener sitting on the edge of their seat, biting their nails as Tripp and Mike try to connect with Jack at Indian Hill.  Lots of “moments” of clarity for Tripp and not everything is as it appears.  Although the storyline had the potential of becoming confusing and losing the listener, both Tufo and O’Brien kept it clear and moving forward.

The ending as well as throughout the book, things were being explained … like Tripp’s mind or lack of, the dimensional rifts, as well as some truly horrific descriptions of people and objects – you must hear it to understand!  Absolutely horrifying!  And I don’t think I could ever eat another Frito!

A great pairing of authors combining their best characters into a tale that truly has it's most frightening moments as well as moments of complete and total hilarity.

Sean Runnette, as always, performs the book perfectly!  He has a tone in his voice – almost like he is Michael Talbot – that is spot on.  His voices for Jack and Tripp are just as spot on as well!  I enjoy hearing Runnette read.

TWISTY TURNY GOODNESS!!!!

Well this is not what I expected at all...full of twists and turns and more hand in hand with the ZF series then the previous books....we can see things crashing together and Trip is the King of it all...lots of funny stuff in this book...and Jack....what is to happen with Jack? I see another book in series coming...lol I cant wait!! Very entertaining listen!!!

And then what?

OMG, I hate books that just end in the middle of a sentence. It's like Mark and John looked at the clock and said, "Oh well, we'll just end it here and pick up next time."

Dissapointed

Maybe it is because there are only three characters in the entire book but it was repetitive and frankly boring. Disappointed because I have enjoyed so many of the Tufo series in the past.

Hmmm

Mark, you know I love ya man. And the beer invite is always open if you ever get to Spokane. John, you are a hell of a story teller, I have listened to all of your books in the new World Series. Awesome stuff. And I could listen to Sean Runnette read a shopping list with great enthusiasm. With all that being said, after listening to all the shrouded world books, well, it’s like, I love peanut butter and crackers. I also love tuna with mayo on crackers. LOVE both. But don’t think both would be good on the same cracker. I listened to the series 3 times, thinking that I was being silly, cause, like I said, on paper, the series should be the best in the world. But, for me, it was like peanut butter and tuna. Still love ya guys. Ray Harper

Love Mike and Trip

However, when "yack" talks.. I sometimes find myself drifting off. He ruminates a lot, is a big egotistical, and I found myself getting mad at him within this novel. yes, Trip is some sort of stellar being but he is also a senile old man. Jack is not very nice to him. Mike and Trip always having me rolling and I look forward to their antics. They are also why I keep keep reading...

kinda boring

Really struggling to keep going forward. The swapping between characters becomes kinda irritating. Really debating on whether to buy the next book

Disappointing

This was the most disappointing Mark Tufo book that I ever heard. I wanted to like it but it just wasn't delivering like I expect a book by him to do.

It was very flat and uninspired.

pretty good

I did like the character combinations, Trip is great as always, they really developed his character in this book series. it ended a little abruptly, could not tell how jack really faired in the end, I assume good.

Better than the Zombie Fallout books

I really enjoyed this short tangent, We finally find out why trip is so weird and how he kind of understands things that he probably shouldn’t. We also find out why he takes so many drugs LOL
