But this new world already had a hero. Why should I bust my ass, deal with dragons and the unknown, for people I didn't know? Let him deal with that. It's his job! So instead of being tempted by the system's nonsense, I chose a simple class. Potion maker. I wasn't interested in cultivating mana and defying the heavens, courting death, none of that crap.

fun story good listen
Love the books definitely worth a read and I don't want to ding the author a star.
*If you like this narrator stop reading
my issue with the performance could easily be taken care of in post but its the same in all the books. Every s sound and some other words has a high pitch whistle and on good speakers/ headphones it's crazy noticeable and actually kind of hurts my ears.

The last HOUR is dedicated to an introduction to a different series.
I really enjoyed the series to this point. I just felt like people should be warned that the last freaking HOUR of the audiobook is dedicated to introducing a totally different series of books. To my knowledge, it has nothing to do with this author.

Pretty much the same battle sequence
I expected more because of how the last book ended but overall this but was basically the same fights taken place with new power ups and near pointless team and side characters. The book got better as it was about to end but I don't think the next book will be different.
