Publisher's summary

Mike Dalton has secretly loved LilyAnn Bronte since they were children together in the small town of Blessings, Georgia. But one fateful day, T. J. Lachlan roars into town and starts showering LilyAnn with his charm, and Mike feels his dream of them being more than friends slipping away.

LilyAnn, as anyone in Blessings will tell you, let herself go after her fiancé was killed in Iraq. The attention of the handsome new guy shocks her into a revelation: She's ready to live again, and maybe the best is yet to come. The thing is, everybody in Blessings is sure that it's Mike and LilyAnn who belong together, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to make LilyAnn realize that the love of her life has been by her side all along.

It was a great story

I didn’t care much for the foul language! I wanted to let my mother hear this story but the were to many F bombs! The story itself was great, it didn’t need all that bad language.

Not the best in the series.

This is the 4th novel I've read in the Blessings series. I’ve been reading them out of order, and I’m glad I did because if this were first for me, I might have stopped here and I would have missed out on some good novels that come later on (namely books 4 and 5, and I’m sure there are more).

This story was a slow starter for me, with a hero who is super nice, pining for the heroine, and a heroine who sees him as a brotherly figure for years. A storyline like this risks the hero looking weak for not taking action to claim the love of his life sooner; and the heroine looking dumb for not noticing what is obvious to everyone else. And that’s the vibe I got for a lot of the book, sadly, until the heroine literally kicked ass, and the book improved from there.

There was a lot going on in this story and my conclusion is that I can't judge the whole series by this book. I'll read more by Sharon Sala because some of her other novels have been thoroughly enjoyable.

Narrator Amy Rubinate was great!

Read out of order

Although, I read this out of order by a couple of books, the series is written perfectly so that each is it's own sweet treat. :-)

I Love the Blessings series!

I own the entire series on paperback and have read them all. I listen to audiobooks during the day while I'm working and decided to try the Blessings series. the books are amazing but I really wish they choose a better narrator. the performance is awful. it's bland and doesn't do the series justice at all.

Disappointed

This may have been a good story, but honestly, I found the narration, specifically the accent, very challenging. When the narration isn't good, it doesn't really matter how good the story is. I was very disappointed and am wondering what all those who gave it five stars saw in it.

3 stars ...one for romance ..

After accidentally listening to book 2 first , I immediately started this one. The love story lacked greatly. Mike was weak and Lilly Ann was so mean at first. So blind and so selfish. The characters of Blessings Georgia made up for the lacking romance . I love this town. I'd have rather not have on page adultry though. Seeing someone change their ways is refreshing but the way Rachel and her story was written gave me really bad feelings. Kind of like her actions caused what happened to her when yes in a way it brought her to that place but the act it self wasn't her fault. I definitely love how Sharon makes her bad guys pay. I'm hooked still and will definitely continue.

I enjoy her books

but I have to take a break in between. This author comes across as kinda preachy (not sure that's the right word) sometimes.

Great Read

You and Only You (Blessings, Georgia #1) was a great read by Sharon Sala. Mike Dalton has always secretly loved LilyAnn since they were kids. Unfortunately T.J. comes into town and starts charming LilyAnn and mike feels her slipping away. After LilyAnn loses her fiancé in Iraq, she finds herself ready to live again when T.J. shows her interest. But interest from T.J. may not mean that he is the right man for her. Maybe the man for her has always been just around the corner. I can’t wait to read more by Sharon Sala.
