It turns out Carter didn’t vanish after all—he’s gone into hiding. Someone in his inner circle wants him dead and now Carter needs Charlie to expose the culprit before the Dunleavy empire spirals into ruin. But with a tangled web of suspects looking to silence Charlie’s investigation, he’ll have to find Carter’s would-be killer and fast, before the traitor can finish the job.

I enjoyed the strong female character, who was equal in skill to the men’s.

The formulaic rhythm and pitch of the reader was distracting for me. He is talented, but needs to rethink his pitch patterns.

I like the story line. The narrator is excellent. I can't wait for the next book.

Unfortunately, I had listened to the newer books first, which did not make sense, but very good!!

Good tead

Story was good and narration was well done. The ending suggests a sequel (7which may already be out there.)
