Ever since he rescued her from a dangerous kidnapper, Mystery Mullins has wanted Axel Dillon. When he returned her to her Hollywood father and tabloid life, she was grateful...and a little in love. Mystery wasn't ready to let Axel go, even after the soldier gently turned her away because, at 19, she was too young.
Now, six years later, Mystery is grown, with a flourishing career and a full life - but she's still stuck on Axel. Disguised, she propositions him in a bar, and the night they spend together is beyond her wildest dreams. Once he realizes Mystery isn't the stranger he thought, Axel is incensed and intrigued. But when it's clear she's in danger, he doesn't hesitate to become her protector - and her lover - again. And as the two uncover a secret someone is willing to kill for, Axel is determined to claim Mystery's heart before a murderer silences her for good.
Boring, predictable, only a couple sex scenes in the entire book which was way too long. Highly DO NOT recommend.

This was such an amazing book. It has heart wrenching romance, the hottest erotic sex, and one of the best mysteries I’ve ever read. Such a surprise on “who done it” & why.
When I discovered the WICKED SERIES in 2012, I couldn't get enough. I listened to the series from book 1 and two until three came out. Then I would listen to all three waiting for four to come out.
Now, here is the hard part to write. After the first four books it seems like Shayla Black [Is not the only one] tries to outdo herself with the outlandish (except Tyler's.) One dominant isn't enough, we've got to bring in two or three. I guess the phrase to use would be out extreme the previous. A strip/sex club isn't enough, it has to be members only (but somehow the bad guys get in) in Dallas. An assortment of whips in the first book must be a mega assortment in a later book. The hero is a millionaire, so the next one has to be a billionaire… I hope you get the idea.
I know that I'm not reading classic literature and I don't expect that of authors in this genre. This is smut/candy for the ears and that is what I am in the mood for sometimes. However, I found myself fast forwarding through many parts Of WICKED FOR YOU #10.
Christian Fox (one of my top 10 male performers) sounded absolutely bored throughout.
I'm not sure if it's a word count thing or what, but the author feels the need to repeat why Mystery is doing what she is doing. We are reminded why she feels the way she is feeling, etc. over and over and over. We're also reminded why Axel did what he did and why. I felt we were given a reprieve about midway through, thank goodness! Your readers are not idiots.*Wink*
I have two more books in the WICKED SERIES yet to read. I purchased them as soon as they come out because I am a fan but I think I'll take a break for a while and hold out on buying any additional books in the series for some time..
Thanks for taking the time to read my review. Please select – yes – below if you found my review helpful. Consider following me on audible, my preferred genres are: 1) CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE and 2) ESPIONAGE/THRILLERS. However, I have many opportunities to listen and review books from almost every genre. Thanks again!
This is my favorite book in the series. Love the characters, the story, and the superb narration. Not much else to say. Thank you.

Well developed characters and storyline, perfect narration, hot sexy emotionally connected romance.
A well written romantic story (mild BDSM)

I really enjoyed this storyline. It answered all the questions of why the two main characters were so mistrustful. The villain was very unexpected.

Any additional comments?
This book was entertaining it was not too dirty which I like sometimes but it had some intrigue and hot men. It's a book that I would listen to more than five times which always means keep it. Get it
