More Sex Than Suspense

Likeable characters and a pretty good story. I like sex in a story but this was a bit much.

A paranormal psychic connection with heat

If you enjoy an action packed romantic book with sexy the KG men and a strong female lead then this is a book for you. The paranormal psychic connection between Nathan and Shea drives this story. But what is interesting is how Maya brings the family into their relationship. Which makes for a good listen. It’s not all guns and killing bad guys. The romance builds and strengthens for Nathan and Shea by what they must endure as a result of Shea’s psychic ability. I think when a book has you looking to download the next in a series it speaks for itself.

These KGI men go through a Lot!!

Have you listened to any of Harry Berkeley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He's a very talented performer. He does a great job bringing in the other characters without getting to crazy or childish with the voices. He really brings emotions to the characters!!

Wow......

As if I wasn't already madly in love witht his family; this book took me by surprise with it's twist. For some reason I was definatrely rivited to this one.

The storyline was much darker and I did miss the brotherly bantering and laughing moments. However, as usualy this narrator brought it home and believe me tears were flowing along with much anxiety!!!

I am a Maya Banks fan and contiune to be truly amazed as to her writing versatility!!! I am in the process of downloading Book 5 ASAP!!

KGB Series is the Best

This is hands down one of the best series I've listened to in a long time. While books 1-3 are about mere mortals I thought I might be turned off by the paranormal elements in books 4 & 5, but that wasn't the case. It was done with mastery by Maya Banks. The KGI series is worth the listen. I just wish that books 1 & 2 were at Audible as well. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

hard warriors

Is there anything you would change about this book?

speed up the pace of the reader

Would you recommend Whispers in the Dark to your friends? Why or why not?

No, too slow and could not stay with it

Would you be willing to try another one of Harry Berkeley’s performances?

No way!

Was Whispers in the Dark worth the listening time?

no as the reader took too much away from the story

Any additional comments?

I wanted to hear other maya banks stories as the Highlander series was so wonderful.
Boy, can a poor reader and pace of that reader ruin a good story. Only Victor Selzak can
read at a slower pace and make it work so wonderfully for Sandra Brown stories

Love, Justice and Delicious Mercenary Men

This book was a little different than the others, mainly the telepathy and healing abilities of Shea and her sister Grace. I liked the shift into the mystical. We finally learn about Nathan, one of the twin brothers. Nathan is captured and suffering. Shea connects with him. It's pretty powerful and I found myself immediately believing their bond. Loved it. Worth the credit. The KGI series is my favorite of Maya Banks, so I'm definitely biased.

HAD TO GO RIGHT FROM BOOK 3 TO 4 !!!

Now this one with Nathan , OMG !! Soul mates for sure. Loved the story line and where it lead.
Left me wondering at the end though, so of course .....I had to immediately get book 5
This series does not disappoint and I love the narrator. He is so passionate with his voice's and reading. I feel as though I'm standing right there with them. Each book brings on another aspect of these strong brothers, and their equally strong women. I can't say enough about them !!
