The Survivor...

Though no one can command her, this warrior would try to conquer her heart...

Physically scarred in childhood by an act of betrayal, Pia has never been considered an attractive woman to other humans, but in a universe filled with aliens she's managed to blend in. One horrible mistake and she is on the run. Desperate to hide her identity, she makes a deal with Galaxy Brides - in exchange for a new face, she'll marry anyone they put in front of her. Never did she realize her future husband would be the most handsome warrior of the Draig.

The Warrior...

Though no man can thwart the brave dragon leader, a woman would be his undoing... Dragonshifter Zoran of Draig is a man who knows what he wants. Being a prince and the commander, he is called upon to make swift decisions, be ready to battle at a moment's notice, and most of all, he always expected to be in control. When his beautiful wife, the one person who should obey him unconditionally, refuses to do so, Zoran discovers the battle for his heart's desire is fiercer than any he war ever waged before. Can the conqueror become the conquered?

About the Series:

The dragonshifting princes have no problem with commitment. In one night, they will meet and choose their life mate in a simplistic ceremony involving the removing of masks and the crushing of crystals. With very few words spoken and the shortest, most bizarre courtship in history, they will bond to their women forever. And once bonded, these men don't let go... Too bad nobody explained this to their brides.

Great Story But Ready For Fresh Plot!

I've really enjoyed the Dragon Lord series. Each book has a good mix of action, adventure, drama, and romance; however, I'm hoping the next book in the series has a fresh plot. The first four books in the series revolves around the same plot, just from four different POV's. I feel like I'm listening to the same story.....again.

Worth a credit? Only if the next book as a different plot.

Narrator was terrible, but story was great!

I loved the story! I recommend to read this book. The narrator was almost unbearable to listen to. The previous narrators in this series were great. I am glad to see that the next book is not narrated by Sarah Van Sweden! I love the series and will continue to listen!

She needs to be controlled? Or does he?

Would you listen to Warrior Prince again? Why?

Yes I would. It's funny, the narrator does a fantastic job.

What did you like best about this story?

Pia is not a meek nor mild mannered female she is strong and fierce. Although fierce her new husband is also soft, loving and tries hard to please her.

Which character – as performed by Sarah Van Sweden – was your favorite?

She did a fantastic job with all the characters in this story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found myself laughing quite often.

Any additional comments?

Amazing series !!!

Warrior Prince is the fourth book in The Dragon Lords series by Michelle M. Pillow. It tells us the story of Prince Zoran and Pia.

Prince Zoran is the captain of the Draig guards and one of the 4 princes looking for a bride thru Galaxy Brides.

Pia, a trained assassin physically scarred from a childhood act of betrayal, is running from a possible execution. In exchange for being given a new face she joins the Galaxy Brides.

I enjoyed this book. The characters are fresh and exciting even though the books all take place at the same time and place the stories are each unique. The books are very well written and a must read for all paranormal readers.

I highly recommend this series. It's a really good read.

The Best !!!

What did you love best about Warrior Prince?

I loved Pia & Zoran!! They are my favorite couple. Pia is such an innocent. She's a deadly assassin but she's innocent at the same time. She's lovable despite being a hardcore assassin. He's a Warrior in charge of their military. He's the biggest Warrior & biggest brother. This small female brings him to his knees. He's at a loss in how to deal with her. But she does not see it that way. She's just wanting to do what she feels is right. She thinks he's a prison guard & not aware that her husband is an important man on the planet & a Prince! They are so alike that they complete each other. Even though she's so small & he's so massive.

What about Sarah Van Sweden’s performance did you like?

The narrator did a good job of conveying the story & the characters. I followed the narration just fine. It pulled me into the story & enjoyed listening very much!

Any additional comments?

Pia had a past that she couldn't share. With the surgery that changed her looks, she does not know that she is beautiful & is not used to all the compliments. She lost her family when she was young. Due to this, she was very much alone. She never had any female companionship. She does not know lot about her own femininity. She was trained to be an assassin at a young age & it's all she's ever known. Zoran & his family changed all that. Plus she has her new sister-in-laws to talk to as well as her new mother-in-law. Zoran learns to be patient with her. But both of them compliment each other. She knows how to fight & knows her weapons! Loved the knife throwing scene!! She's the best. Zoran is a Warrior & knows a lot about weapons & such, so they have this in common. They do find their way to each other. All of Zoran's patience paid off. I loved the ending!!! It's soooooo endearing!!!.

Loved the story but the narration was choppy

If you could sum up Warrior Prince in three words, what would they be?

Wonderful Love Story

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the story about Pia and Prince Zoran. Pia was burned over 60% of her body. After extensive surgeries, she doesn't recognize the face staring back at her. She never expects someone to choose her. Pia has a tough journey from being a shy, scarred woman into the beautiful and confident woman she becomes.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Sarah Van Sweden?

I would love to hear Jennifer Ikeda narrate the book. She really brings the characters to life and the flow of the story is very fluid. Sarah Van Sweden's narration is very choppy and hard to listen to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Captain of the Guard finds love with an assassin

Any additional comments?

Pia the assassin, is in trouble. She needs to disappear after she finds out that the man she just killed is the mayor's son. That is very difficult for her since she is scarred over 60% of her body. The only way she knows to get a new face when she can't afford one is to contract with Galaxy Brides. They agree that they can help her but she must sign an exclusive contract with them until she is married. After two weeks of endless surgeries, she is on her way to Qurilixen with a ship load of other potential brides to attend the Draig Breeding Festival. She doesn't think anyone would ever pick her since she still sees herself as scarred and ugly.

Prince Zoran is immediately taken with her beauty and is so happy that she was the one that made his crystal glow. Pia thinks that no one as good looking as Zoran could possibly have any interest in her and is upset with him when he takes her to his tent. She keeps expecting his friends to jump out laughing since he picked "the ugly girl". Zoran is so confused about why she is refusing him and takes offense every time he tells her how beautiful she is. He has to force her hands to remove the mask so they can freely speak and finds out that she must marry whoever chooses her because of her contract. He uses this against her to make her stay and complete the ceremony. Once they get back to his house, she cuts her hair off even though he told her not to since it was considered a "disfigurement" and done only as a way to punish a woman.

Pia has a hard time adjusting to life with Zoran. She really believes he married her as a joke and constantly tells him she wants a divorce. This really upsets Zoran to the point that he goes back to training the soldiers the next day instead of taking time to get to know her better. Pia is left in the house by herself for the next few days which just makes her more upset with him. She finally breaks out of the house and goes to the training grounds. Little does she know that Zoran is the Captain of the Guard and is over all the soldiers. Pia engages the soldiers in a little competition until Zoran shows up...and boy do the sparks fly then.

Eventually, Pia and Zoran start getting to know each other and smooth some things out. But Zoran doesn't realize that keeping things about what is going on makes Pia feel like he doesn't trust her. How will they ever make their marriage work? Guess you will have to listen to find out.

I do love the story. I would have enjoyed it more if it was narrated more fluidly.

I love hearing the interaction between the characters, the missunderstandings are always so humorous.

What other book might you compare Warrior Prince to and why?

Have you listened to any of Sarah Van Sweden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this it the first time but I think she did I great job bring the story to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dragon men are hot lol

Any additional comments?

What a great story. I loved it and it was great to get the in depth information on the characters. Each prince and each bride is so different and their background story are so cool. Michelle pillow is a master mind at the paranormal romance. Great mix or story, fun hotness!

REMEMBER~WHAT ASSUMING DOES

I will warn anyone who may want to listen to any in this series that Michelle M. Pillow writes this with the male and female FULLY misunderstanding one another. If that be because one attempts to do the thinking for the other or one is too slow to respond to another so an assumption is made, you will find it quite annoying!
The only true way I was able to get through this listen was to skip chapters. I'm sorry to say, because I hate doing that. I won't be using a credit or spending any of my money on one in this series again.
There is substance to the content of MP's book. If she would write the relationship between her lead male and female characters in such a way that we, the listeners/readers could respect and tolerate them, she would be SPOT ON in her writing strength. Setting them up in the manner in which she does make, we the consumer become uncomfortable, and angry with those characters personalities.
I enjoy that she writes this series with females being part of the Galaxy Bride's, where women are taken to various planets where the male's population are needing women to procreate their worlds. The simplistic manner in which a 'crystal' worn by the men since their birth alerts them to who their 'true mate' is. All of this along with the tradition of unity of marriage and the institution of family is well done by Michelle Pillow. I appreciate her for that.
My recommendation is:
If you Can overlook or tolerate the banter of misunderstanding that goes on between the husband and wife in these books then your money/credit will not be wasted.
If such bantering annoys you beyond reason. Don't waste your money or your credit.

I like the series enough to keep going but.....

This is a pretty good series. The author could use a little more detail for some of the scenes but it is a good serious I love the storyline. However I do not like the fact that they change narrators so often and I did not like this narrator she didn't do any of the characters voices so you couldn't really tell who was talking all the time I had to rewind the story a few times just to make sure who was talking. I didn't think that would bother me as much as it did during the storyline I guess the first two narrators did so well that when this one threw me off.

Forth book does not disappoint

Great narrator...The author did a good job tying the stories together with an explanation of every challenge the characters had to go through. It was also notable that the four princes and their mates were complete individuals. They had their own issues and style , from the homes they lived in to the desires in the bedroom. Zoran was captain of the guard,a very dominant character who did not have a clue about women. His mate also had to evolve into the loving partner she would become. The reader will definitely be hoping for the happy ending for these two characters.

Glad I Got It.

This book was not my favorite narration from the Dragon Lord series but I'm a huge fan and really wanted to give the anniversary edition a listen to.
