great story

thoroughly enjoyed this even though i sort of knew where it ended having listened to book 2 first. josselyn and evan meet when she is released from her stone prison 103 years after being encased. this starts a quest for revenge against Jack Stevens, the person who betrayed her family and incarcerated her in stone. misunderstandings and emotions abound creating a good tale of love that is most readable (listenable) and well worth the effort.

Cool, unique elements. Space romance!

Unique ideas. Sweet romance. Good narration.
His voice fit the story well. I’d recommend listening. Josselyn’s family was murdered and she has been stuck in a frozen state for over 100 years; it’s brutal what happened to her. Evan is part of a space crew that happens upon the home world of Josselyn; they rescue her, but things don’t go quite that well. Josselyn isn’t used to how things are after being frozen for over 100 years and all the pain from the murders of her family feels so fresh to her; she’s dealing with a lot. She wants revenge for her family and is in for some
surprises. Evan being an empath was an interesting idea. There’s a nice connection between Josselyn and Evan; I would’ve liked a little more on the romance front, but it was still heart touching. Loved the space aspect! Space romances are one of my favs. The author takes the story in some interesting ways. I was entertained the whole time. Looking forward to reading more in this series!

Very Creative!

This was a very creative story with lots of characters and much imagination drawn out by the author! The book started out with a battle scene and a ship full of pirates, at first I thought I would have to write everyone's names down to keep them straight but with amazing narration skills the narrator made it easy to keep track of each character and their personality. This is a story about love, loss, revenge and a special connection between two people. There is a little bit of lovemaking and it is well done. If you are looking for something a little bit different or you enjoy novels involving great imagination, not tied to life realistically, you will find this story easy and entertaining to listen to, there are plenty of twists to keep you intrigued as to what will happen next!

Good Start

This is more like 3 1/2 stars. I like the premise of the story, I just don't care too much for Evan himself. I personally felt he was too weak of man to be a lead in a story. I understand he's empathetic but still he was too beta and not enough Alpha for me. I do like Josselyn and think she is a strong woman. I will be interested to see how the rest of these books goes.

Very enjoyable!!

Fantastic start to an entertaining sci-fi romance series about a space pirate and his crew of misfits. I've always enjoyed Michelle M. Pillow's books, they are my guilty pleasure. The bases for the story and the plot are well developed, loaded with twist and turns. The characters are intriguing, particularly the hero, Evan, and the heroine Lady Josselyn. Their connection is one of passion with sizzling chemistry.

Michael Ferraiuolo does an outstanding job with the narration; I thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Overall, His Frost Maiden was a very delightfully entertaining audiobook.

I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Curses can't stop love.

I read the book a while back and had forgotten some important things. I loved the story. I find it touching, funny, and unique. The audio was an amazing re-read. The narrator did a great job with both the male and female characters.

Another unique story from Michelle Pillow. This one takes the reader on a really bumpy ride. Talk about lovers with problems--without spoilers, I can't go into them, just know there are multiple life-threatening problems, loyalty, history, family and curses that go against the couple ending with a HEA.

The crew's relationship is like a big family of bad boys with a tiny little mother trying to keep them in order when--yeah you got it--she's as bad as the rest of them.

You'll visit several new places, futuristic and historical. The great thing about a made-up world is it can be as different as your imagination and Ms. Pillow has a very active one.

The crew of space pirates but not really bad guys have been cursed. The wise-mouth Rick just can't leave a powerful ghost alone. He keeps going until she throws out a curse—not only for him but for them all. It involves getting a mate. You'll find out the rest. When the crew hears a partial rescue message puts them on a deserted moon with a devastating situation. The rescue isn't what they expected.

Steam, love, friendship, and a great audio.

Exciting new spin-off series

As an empath Evan is not sure if his feelings are genuine or from those around him add to that the curse placed on him and his fellow crew members and his life is best lived alone. When they stumble upon a prisoner pardon they decide to investigate.

Evan is instantly drawn to Lady Josselyn as is everyone else but her run away emotions can literally kill him so he steers clear. That is until he can no longer resist.

I did not read any of the previous series associated with this book and I did not feel as if that hindered my listening and understanding. It was a bit slow for me to get in to but once I did I could not stop listening! I really loved the dynamic chemistry of the characters and how it all came together but left threads for future stories.
