Publisher's summary

My cock noticed her before I did. She came out of nowhere. Completely unexpected. And I let her in... unwillingly. But she gave me no choice. She sledgehammered my thick walls, leaving me charmed by her knowledge, and seduced by her beauty. I was captivated. And now... it was about to tumble down in a tsunami of lies. Uncertainty riveted my core as my anger spread... she was impossible to forget. After all, she was still my intern. Forbidden. Lust. Betrayal. I felt all of those things for her at once. But only one would destroy us.

Office Romance

I enjoyed the second part of the story of CeCe and Bentley. The narrators were good and gave us a deeper level of the story that brought it too life. The only complaint I have is CeCe’s obsession over her dads death. No matter who she hurts she continues to obsess over it and nothing else matters. Otherwise I enjoyed the story.

Thumbs up!!

I very much enjoyed this second continuation. Th mix of mystery with romance was still a very strong point of intrest for me. The characters were very well developed and the action was solid. It is emotionan and you find yourself rooting for them.

It just keeps getting hotter and hotter!

The suspense is riveting! Bentley and Cecelia grow closer, the sex is explosive, and the unanswered questions grow! Prepare to need spare panties reading this! Will Bentley find the truth out about Cecelia? And will Cecelia find the answers she needs? The second installment of The Intern is grippingly hot and suspenseful!!!

the intern part 2

I love this story but hate that it is a cliffhanger. On to the next book ;)

Joe Arden' range helps this story

This is a review for Volumes 1 and 2. I honestly couldn't split them up.

Cecelia is devastated when her father is killed in front of her years ago. Not being able to let go of his unsolved murder, she sets out to apply for an internship at an investigative crusaders company. Her hope is to find some new information that will maybe solve her father's case and see that justice is served. Being a high school senior, Cece decides to impersonate her older college-attending sister, and gets the internship.

When the soon-to-be CEO, Bentley has been told to hire an intern, he wasn't expecting the likes of Cece. Trying to deny their instant chemistry, they work to keep things professional. Cece plans to get access to the various databases that will help get her the information she needs. When she and Bentley fail at fighting their attraction, and give in. It's seriously hot, and as they get closer to each other, Cece's terrified her deception will be revealed. Not to spoil anything, I won't give any more specifics.

I listened to the audiobooks, and Joe Arden was absolutely amazing in his narration. In my opinion,
these two volumes could have been one. The premise of the story was pretty good. There was a little dragging and repeating of the same topics, mostly from Cece. Being that the heroine is an 18 year-old high school senior, a lot of this is a bit far-fetched, and she seemed to have the wisdom of someone way beyond 18.

I haven't decided if I'm going to listen to the conclusion in volume 3.
