Publisher's summary

Unicorn shifter Keke LaFleur is known around Nocturne Falls as the ‘love ‘em and leave ‘em’ gal. She’s been running from relationships since her childhood sweetheart accidentally witnessed her transformation. Just when she believes her hooves are planted in the present, her past rides in on a sleek vintage Bronco - of a vehicular kind - pulling an oversize Mobile Vet trailer behind it.

Traveling veterinarian Rochester “Rock” Winthorpe has spent more than a decade in search of his first love. He hopes to finally straighten out the misunderstanding that had sent Keke off in a huff. Now that he’s found her, he’s hell-bent on chasing her until he gets an “I do” - before she manages to gallop away with his heart again.

Animal Whispering

When Roc comes to town he finds the missing love of his life. The reunion was bittersweet until the couple finally have a real conversation. It was a sweet love story with the typical happy ending we all know and love in Nocturne Falls. I don’t even know if I could listen to a book without the narrator! He is the voice of the Falls!

Pleasant Addition

This is my first NF Universe story, as I was worried the other authors wouldn't quite do it justice. I was pleasantly surprised that I still got the magical vibe of Nocturne Falls with very distinct characters and swoony love stories. There are still animals and love for coffee. There were also a couple name drops of actual characters and businesses from the Nocturne Falls series. I think this is a great addition to the universe, a sweet story of lost then found again love after misunderstandings. Swoony vet who speaks to animals persevering for his unicorn love who has a talking owl familiar!

Kristen Painter expands Nocturne Falls

I generally love Nocturne Falls books. This one, however, was merely likable. As always an HEA but there was such a jump from plot to ending in the last chapter that I felt a little cheated.

So overall the narrator was great (same one used in all the other books) the story too grabbed me in the beginning but let me down at the end.
