Just Loved it!

This is not the first book by Stacy Eaton that I've read and it won't be the last either.

Max and Sara's story is so emotionally engaging that I could not stop listening. There is so much that happen in this book, just when I thought things were going smoothly something will happen to turn it all on it's head.

Sara is an amazing character, her strength is impressive as is her ability to care.
Max is stubborn and reactive and reminds me way too much of myself (not to self: work on that), but he's also caring and has all the time in the world for the people that he cares about.

The supporting cast is pretty great as well, I would love to have someone like George in my life, he would have earned brownie points a number of times during the story if it was real life.

The dual narration worked really well, the two parts joined together seamlessly. Both narrators did great character voices and the pace and tone was consistent the whole way through. Lovely to listen to.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Wonderful story!

This book was one of the best books I have read in a long time. Sara is dealing with the grief of losing her husband to cancer, and her twin daughters are dealing with it in their own way. When one of them becomes withdrawn, Sara knows there is more to it. Then she sees Max again after many years. The chemistry between them is amazing. Max still has feelings for Sara, as does Sara for him. Can they work through the secrets that rise from the grave? Oh, this book was so very good, and I was sad for it to end. I really enjoyed listening to this narrator as well. I definitely recommend this book!

Wonderful Second Chance Romance

I will admit that I'm a sucker for a good second chance romance and this is definitely one of the best that I've come across. Mature characters, serious subject matter and plenty of twists and turns had me completely hooked. It was refreshing to see realistic and relatable characters in their 40's dealing with real issues, instead of 20-something rock stars, billionaires, etc. I'm grateful to the author for the flawed characters, as well as for dealing with infidelity, death, depression and addiction. There are several plot twists (which I won't divulge) but believe me when I say they're doozies!

The narration was outstanding and I loved the wonderful flow between the duo. I thoroughly enjoyed Tempt Me Too and would recommend it.

Maximus & Sara

So much happening in this second chance romance. Sara and Maximus have not seen each other in 20 years, but the passion is still there. Maximus does not want to let her get away another time, but Sara has so much happening she may not be up for the reunion. They are great together and I loved the duel narration.

second chances

I'm a sucker for a good second chance romance, but this one was so much more. The characters were flawed and real, the plot drew me in from the beginning and I loved how fate kept bringing Max and Sara back together.

The story has you feeling all the emotions, going from laughing to crying to anger and back again. I really enjoyed this story.

Loved this storyline!!

I loved this story! I am a fan of second chance love stories and this one did not disappoint! There were twists in the story that kept it going and made it more fun to listen to! The narrators did a great job making sure each character was easily distinguishable and they flowed together very well! I will add them to my list of narrators that I enjoy listening to!

Heartfelt story

Second chance romance with a few surprise twists sets up for an extraordinary listen. A true to life story , Stacy Eaton has taken the concepts of addiction and finding your future and given them authenticity. Rebuilding your life after the death of a spouse and father is always a hard things to come to terms with and each character in the story has their own way of negotiating their pain. Divorce is another subject approached as Max is divorcing his wife, and it's messy. When Max and Sara finally see each other after 20 years, it is hoped they will be able to take all these things and build a future. But as in reality, things are never that easy. Eaton has taken us on their journey of fate, pain and love, helping us live through their feelings and emotions, from passion to fear, to tough love. It's easy to fall into their world and take this trek with them, and hope they find their happily ever after.

With the many emotions felt in this book, good narration is key.The narration by Chris Chamberlein and Marie Rose is wonderful. The two compliment each other with their voices. It is the first time I have heard either of them, and found their pace and acting abilities to be easy and comfortable to listen to.

Real life story

This is my first book from Stacy.

If you’re looking for a real hearted story this is great.
Although a very emocional one, that deals with alcohol, drugs, infidelity and what can you ask more, life changing secrets...

Just a few chapters in, you already care about what happens to the characters. It is very real.
It can be your neighbor story, it can be yours.

It seems to concentrate on second chances, after tragedies, after wrong that seemed right then decisions.

First love, true love and tough love.
The one thing that glues all together is hope.

I was asked to give it a listen and leave a review.

The dual narration was great although a felt some difficulty in earing Max’s friend.

Enjoyed this ride very much.

Wonder what next from this author.

Thoughtful

I was in two minds about this listen as I only lost my husband to cancer last year so was a little iffy
The story of a mother with her two daughters following the loss of her husband ...she then re establishs a relationship with her first love , there’s a couple of twists in this well written book but the speed in which she finds love again is too fast personally for me .
The narrration is a real performance which I find so important when listening as it can so easily break a book but if the performance of thi# had not been so good not so sure I would have continued as I did have a speed issue but pleased I did

Sweet Story

Where does Tempt Me Too rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was a sweet story and not one I'm used to listening to, but I enjoyed it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sarah's best friend was funny and I enjoyed it when she was in the scenes

Have you listened to any of Chris Chamberlain and Marie Rose ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I haven't but Chris's version of George put me off a little bit, his fake laugh was a little irritating.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Love will find a way.

Lovely Listen!

This was a really enjoyable listen, a great story of a second chance romance between a coup!e in their early forties which is refreshing. I could relate to the references of dating in the 90's, before mobile phone and social media etc. Loved the narration and the story.

A sweet romance

A free copy of the audiobook was given to me in exchange for an honest review!!!

This is a beautiful story of a second chance of first love. At the same time, it looks into addiction, drunk driving and infidelity without telling all the warnings. Instead, you get a real life story with all its consequences but not told with a lot of drama - it's told in a very calm and clear way focusing on the second chance of the first love of Sara and Max.

I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook even though I sometimes had I a hard time listening to the male voice of Max's friend. But since the story was a very cute and romantic story I decided to enjoy the story anyway. And I really did! I can highly recommend this audiobook for everyone who wanna enjoy a sweet, heartwarming and romantic story that involves teenage daughters, their mother and the mothers long lost love!
