Beautiful story

Loved listening to this! A beautiful story of love, loss, and acceptance. I enjoyed following Harlow and Dax’s relationship through its ups and downs, the dual view points were fantastic. Both narrators were amazing and made the listening experience very enjoyable, both have very pleasant voices to listen to. Highly recommend giving this book a listen! I received a review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Wow!

This story broke all the molds of what a romance book should look like- addressing many trigger topics. It was very well written and absolutely created a one of a kind story that was a joy to read. Well done!

Narration.... I can't say enough how much i enjoyed listening to Melissa and Joe. Both gave a fantastic performance. This team is an insta-buy for me!

Great Performance!

Harlow is an accomplished transplant surgeon however she and her husband are having trouble conceiving a child. When their last attempt results in the stillborn death of her son her husband starts divorce proceedings and ensures that she is fired from her position. At her breaking point she ends up on a road trip and ends up at The Pearl where her life is forever changed.

Dax is the much younger sexy successful craftsman who is renting The Pearl to her. Although his first encounter with her makes him privy to information that she doesn’t know they do become friends and then much more. He infiltrates the barriers she has built around her heart but when she must return to face the nightmare her life has become she knows that their relationship could damage the business he has worked so hard for she ends things. Will they be able to find their way back to each other?

I really enjoyed the narration by Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel. The nuances of their voices made you feel like you were there with them.

A different kind of love story

This was a great romantic story about a woman who believes she has nothing left to live for and the man who shows her that she can have everything she ever wanted. Harlow James is a world renowned transplant surgeon from New York. She finds herself in an organic desolate airship in the outskirts of New Mexico after losing her job and her husband. She meets Dax the much younger owner of the Pearl, the place she has rented out and he offers to show her around his hometown.

They form a close bond over the week, however they are both keeping secrets from one another and when the truth is revealed, the fallout may just be too much for them to handle. I loved this older woman, younger man dynamic, the dual POV gave a great transission into the feelings of both Dax and Harlow and there was a lot of emotional heartache faced that gave the story so much depth. I found this to be a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Great new series

I really enjoyed "Everything She Ever Wanted" by Liz Durano. I've become a fan of this author over the past year, having read several of her books. Each one is well written, but also unique in their own way. The characters and story lines leave you wanted more at the end. This book was no exception. I loved the introduction to a couple new characters, Harlow and Dax and I look forward to seeing how this series builds and develops from this first book. Experiencing this as an audio book really made the story come to life!
If you are a fan of contemporary romance, you should add this book to your collection.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Too good to miss

Everything She Ever Wanted is an older woman/younger man romance—but so much more. It has a well thought out plot and fully developed characters, especially Harlow and Dax. It touches on the truth that powerful men are believed and trusted over women, regardless of their stature. I enjoyed hearing both points of view brought to life by Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel. (so great that Liz hired both a male and female rather than trying to have one person do both). This is one you won’t want to miss.

So Good!!!

I loved this older woman - younger man romance. The story was so well written and the narration perfection. This book has so many emotions in it. The story is realistic and original. The path to love was unconventional, the characters were strong and endearing. This is a standalone listen and part of a series. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written my review. I will definitely be listening to more books by both the author and narrators. The point of views of the characters was very enlightening. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. The imagery in the story was also very good. Having visited Taos previously, I could envision the Pearl.

Fantastic older woman / younger man romance

This was a really great romance featuring an older, competent, accomplished woman and her journey to self-discovery as she finds love in the arms of a younger man. Featuring journeys through infertility, pregnancy loss, and stillbirth, this could have some big emotional impacts on some listeners. The dual narration was fantastic and I'd look for more from this author and these narrators.

Moving story! Love the narrators

Everything She Ever Wanted was amazingly emotional! I couldn’t even imagine what Harlow was going through. She is a super skilled pediatric transplant surgeon who is having one heck of a time everywhere else in her life… her lovely (said with sarcasm) husband was a cheating unfaithful shell of a man. He angered me when he turned up engaged to his mistress. Ugh… so I can see why Harlow wanted to run off and take off. She’s so troubled with the death of a stillborn baby, her marriage crumpling… she wants to end her life. So she takes off and enjoys a drunken night but decides the time isn’t right to dies so puts it off.

Dax stumbles upon her and her suicide note. While he’s attracted to her, he’s troubled by the letter. I loved how grouchy Harlow was and how Dax pursued her relentlessly. Watching her grow and flourish with Dax is a beautiful… it’s a beautiful story about finding yourself and learning who you really are. Liz Durano wrote a moving story. She was able to describe the feelings and thoughts of a person who has lived it. Then there’s the descriptions of the plot… you get this view of a wild beauty that is colorful and hopeful.

I listened to the audio. Joe Hempel and Melissa Moran work beautifully together. I can’t even tell you the emotions that Moran oozes into this with her gorgeous voice. Jow Hempel is quickly becoming a favorite narrator for me. His voice is so charming and so fierce, when it needs to be. There’s some amazing sex appeal in this one!!

Really enjoyable story with excellent narration

I really enjoyed this story, the longer I listened the more it sucked me in. One niggle is how long we had to wait to find out their age difference. It would have been nice to know that a bit sooner. I really loved the setting. Joe Hempel and Melissa Moran brought the characters to life so beautifully, I was able to listen without considering the narration which is so lovely. A really great listen.

Good listen

This was a really enjoyable listen. The storyline was a bit predictable but the narrators did a fantastic job of bringing it to life and keeping me interested in what was happening. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who loves a younger man/older woman romance with some drama mixed in.

Everything kinda book

This book has a lot inside. Harlow is a gal you want to hug and protect from her world. It’s crashed down on her and shreds her and she leaves to end it all but lucky can’t do it. While staying at a remote rental property she comes face to face with it’s owner who isn’t supposed to be there at the same time. Luckily Dax finds Harlow and sets out to find out more about her and he helps her along her way. But all things come to a hurtful halt when secrets become identified. I loved these two together and really loved the narration done by Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel, they made the characters realistic and true sounding. Well worth the time spent with this audiobook.

Good Liesten

Liz Durano gives us a story that’s not like a typical romance. Harlow & Dax’s story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. It touches on some very sensitive triggers. So be warned. Overall I enjoyed listening to it!

Melissa & Joe did a good job narrating!

In the arms of a master craftsman

Unusual and intense tale set in beautiful scenery. Both characters are skilled with their hands in their fields where they make physical differences: her saving lives, him creating artifacts.

He appreciates the planes of her body finding "Sleeping Beauty"in his bed, but finds her suicide note and gun. His angst at her intention to defile his home, and her angst at injustice at work and in her marriage lead to an exploration of the local archeological sites, their bodies and their love.

Tastefully written and portrayed. Very well narrated.

Hard to find stories older woman/younger man, but another one is: Misadventures in Blue by Sierra Simone. A gem.

This is a wonderful story!!!

Listening to Liz Durano’s Everything She Ever Wanted was such aa pleasure! The characters and their current story and their backstory are so captivating and attention grabbing, that it is a pleasure to listen to and makes you want to keep listening to find out what happens next!!

Dax owns The Pearl, and shows up early hoping to be able to work there... he finds Harlow asleep and her gun in the table with her suicide note. He is worried... but leaves to stay with his grandmother.

They meet, get to know one another and become involved. He begins to wonder if she lied to him about being on the pill.. and when he confronts her... she admits she did and he is very angry. Ah elevates to return to New York, but goes back a stronger woman who won’t take crap from her ex or from the hospital that let her go due to her ex being on staff.

What happens to their relationship? What is the result of her lie about being on the pill??

I promise you will find out the answers in this audiobook... and I KNOW you will enjoy the listen!! Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel do a great job with the narration!!!

Good book, great narration

I liked this story by Liz Durano. I absolutely felt for Harlow and was immensely impressed by Dax. They both were very good characters, it was easy to love them. I love a good supporting cast and the secondary characters were also good here.
This was my first book by this author and surely won't be the last.

I loved the narration by Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel. They were fabulous. Great voices and pace. I loved the bits of Spanish too. Both recordings were high quality, no noise or any other disturbance.
