Publisher's Summary

Sherrilyn Kenyon's most highly anticipated novel in the Dark-Hunter series since Acheron is here - the unforgettable story of Styxx, Acheron's twin brother and one of the most powerful beings on Earth. Just when you thought doomsday was over…

Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge. As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. But it was never a task she relished. Until now. She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line. Styxx and Acheron must put aside their past and learn to trust each other or more will suffer. Yet it's hard to risk your own life for someone who once tried to take yours - even when it's your own twin. And when loyalties are skewed and no one can be trusted, not even yourself, how do you find a way back from the darkness that wants to consume the entire world? One that wants to start by devouring your very soul?

    "Styxx is my favorite book"

I have listened to this book more than once and finally decided to buy it myself because of how much I love it.

After about the tenth time listening to it within six months, it is as amazing as ever and I love the way the reader portrays the characters.

I loved using Audible to listen because it didn't drain my data and the sound quality was absolutely amazing. The app is easy to use and I could literally listen to this book anywhere I pleased without a worry.

I didn't really dislike anything since this is my favorite book, the recording was next to flawless and the app didn't need any improvements. I loved how it gave me listening options such as to skip ahead or go back, the listening time, chapters and to save certain areas as well.

"I fell in love with Styxx."

Loved, loved, LOVED the story of Styxx and Bethany! Would that all men be as steadfast and have such character and humility. Beautiful, if not harsh, story.

    "Too much torture"

I was very disturbed by this book. I understand having a tortured hero but this was way too much. I will never again but another book from this author or series. After finishing this book I was physically sick. This just ruined the whole series for me. I will not give any stars for this book.

    "Tissues required"

This book pulled every emotion out of me. It was amazing. After reading Acheron I did not care for Styxx. But remember "There is 3 sides to everything" Yours, His, and somewhere in the middle lies the truth. Once I started reading Styxx my heart actually hurt. And I have read the book and also listened to the audio several times. Never have I seen a Warrior so determined to do what's right, regardless of the physical and emotional pain it causes him.

Absolutely amazing story! I couldn't stop listening! it tells the side of Styx beautifully! I actually found myself feeling more sorry for Styx than Archeron.

    "Too many horrible things"

This book was filled with too many horrible things. I stopped reading the book for a few days. Then I went back to finish it. It was a struggle to complete this book. There is very little joy and love in this book. It explained a lot of neck history about Ascheron (sp) but geeze......

    "Amazing voice actor!"

This book, like all of Kenyon's novels, was an excellent read and incredibly engaging. However, coupled with the ridiculously talented voice actor, the story was breathed into life. One my top three Kenyon novels of all time and worth every penny!
