Soccer goalkeeper Jaden Sloup has his eye on Ella Kennedy, a woman who won’t date jocks or frat boys. He dons a pair of nerd glasses and hugs a laptop to convince her he’s a techno geek, and she agrees to go to with him to a cosplay convention in Las Vegas, where his team’s playoff game happens to be.

Jaden must juggle sizzling in the sheets with Ella against a soccer match and hanging with his frat-brother teammates. When a bully harasses Ella and challenges Jaden to a fight, he proves even a goalie can score.

Jaden and Ella are friends of Jax and Kimber from Dani Evan's hottest new adult romance - a story of obsession, passion, and surrender. Will you be the next contestant?

Love wins out!

This may be short but it is packed full of a great story! Jaden is the goalie for his college soccer team and has his eye on Ella. Ella is a technology geek, loves gaming and is into anime, but she does not like athletes or frat boys, which rules Jaden out! He figures his way into her life, thinking she has no idea about who he is. A fun fling and off he will go, what he doesn't count on is falling for her. Rachelle Ayala does it again, writing a story where the characters are easy to fall in love with and a message you can't miss. This one is especially poignant with life lessons at this life changing age. With beautifully envisioned costumes for the cosplay convention and fun on the soccer field, this story is a winning goal!

Charley Ongel and Tor Thom breathe life into this new adult story with their incredible chemistry. These two bring the story to life with wonderful voices that fit the age, and keep the heat and suspense high. It's an enjoyable listen.

Don't judge on appearances

Jaden is a soccer player and Ella is more of a techie girl. They meet at a party and since Ella doesn't like sports jocks or players, Jaden pretends to be a techie, too. Jaden isn't planning on falling in love with Ella, just dating her until the next girl comes along. Ella really starts to fall in love with Jaden. Things come to a crossroads when Ella needs saving. Will Ella forgive Jaden for not admitting that he's a soccer player? Will Jaden be able to save Ella and finally admit his feelings?
This is a short book but it does pack a lot into it. I really like the duet narration of Charley Ongel and Tor Thom. It brings so much more into the story when the female reads the female and the male reads the male -- almost like a play. Rachelle Ayala has written another wonderful book.

Playfully Fun and Heart-warmingly Touching

This is a wickedly hot and wildly playful story that is sure to catch your ear and your heart along the way. What starts off as a fun no-strings arrangement quickly turns into more then just surprising feelings and emotion. Walls have to be torn down and misunderstandings set to light. A light read turns into so much more and will set your mind and heart aflame.

Ella and Jaiden have nothing in common except their blindingly hot attraction. When they begin to complicate a simple arrangement as more then just their bodies get involved, circumstances force them to face what they can't bare to admit even to themselves. They must have the courage to reach for what they want before its taken away by those seeking to hurt them permanently.

This narrator duo is my absolute favorite, and they have hit another performance out of the park! Nothing in truly as it seems, and listening to these incredible characters come to life is live celebrating the greatest day of my life. Bravo! These two masters know how to rock a story and ingrain it deeply into your heart.

Young Adult Romance

To be honest I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed other audiobooks by Rachelle Ayala. The characters are a bit young and frivolous. They lack a certain level of life experience that makes the story more interesting for me.

That said, Rachelle had still written a story about two people who experience personal growth at the same time as finding love. Jaden and Ella's story involves both of them addressing and changing their preconceived notions before they can accept their feelings.

This audiobook is easy to listen to despite lacking the usual depth expected of Rachelle Ayala's stories. It is short and fast moving, involving plenty of action (sexual and otherwise).

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
