Narrator ruined it for me

I read this book some time ago and was excited it finally made audio. The book version is better. Although Pete Ohms is getting better he is still not there yet. He ruined the book for me. If I had not already known the story I would have been totally disappointed. The books that were narrated by others are much better. I have continued to buy the books hoping they will get better. I have been so excited the Madaris series is on audible. I might try again, but at some point I will have to let it go. I can't continue to buy the series and dislike the narrator.

The story is fairly cute started out as a business venture and the two people ended up actually falling in love. The story is well develop and you do fall in love with the characters. This book has been around for a while but still a good one. Short and sweet.

One of my favorites!! Until NOW!!!

This is one of my favorite Brenda Jackson stories! I love the Madaris Family, especially Clayton! I would tell anyone to read this book and fall in love with the story and the characters.

However, I would not recommend the audio book! The narrator was not a good choice. He is not good at performing the female voices and it got creepy at times.

Definitely READ the book (in fact, read ALL of her books)! It was hard to listen to the audio book.

Movie Star Swoons!!

If you could sum up One Special Moment in three words, what would they be?

Trust Your Heart

Who was your favorite character and why?

Colby Wingate...She was sexy, sweet, and charming all wrapped up in one!!

What about Pete Ohms’s performance did you like?

His portrayal of Sterling Hamilton. Gave me goose bumps!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes indeed!!

Any additional comments?

This was the first book by B. Jackson that I had read. It definitely got me hooked on the Madaris series! Awesome job Pete O!! Love it!!!

Awful Narration

I think this story was good. However, the narrator totally ruined it for me. At some points in the story, if he soke SO slow I felt like just discontinuing altogether. I like the author but I will not listen to anymore of her books narrated by Peter Ohms.

Soso

The story sounded exciting in the beginning but it fizzled out in the middle . I kept having to go back to the last chapter because I the book did not keep my interest..

Wonderful story, need a new narrator

I love Brenda Jackson's books, and I've read most of them. This narrator does not do them justice.

Great Story

I thought the story was well pit together. I would have liked the love scenes to have been a little bit more explicit. I also would have liked the book to end when Sterling and Colby said they loved each other. The other chapters could have been condensed into the last. However, the performance was not that great. It was hard to tell who was talking at times. When the narrator wispered, it was hard to hear what he was saying.

Truly special

Yes expectations were met. Most memorable moment occurred in the attorney's office as they built up to the reason for the meeting. At times I thought the pauses were a bit much. But I enjoyed the read overall.
