Publisher's summary

This pot of gold could hold more than they bargained for...

Grand. Just grand. Clara Donovan's failure to keep her brother from going off the rails - again - is a public spectacle. Including a handsome stranger who puts down his guitar case to help her talk Seamus down from Farthing's tallest bridge.

Everything about Danny Brady reminds Clara how many times she swore she'll never again be that pathetic, weak woman who got taken in by a good-looking man. Especially when, the next day, she walks into a new coffee shop in her little Irish town and discovers Danny's secret.

Danny didn't lie - technically - about his coffee shop chain. He's just tired of women going after him for his wealth. Clara is a graceful, fiercely loyal, non-Irish Irish damsel in distress, a combination that tugs at his heart. A heart that's spent its share of time in pieces.

Danny has never hesitated to go after what he wants, but melting Clara's defenses will take more than hot tea and charm. He'll have to prove he's made of stronger stuff - even when her past threatens to tear her carefully reconstructed world to shreds.

Love this story.

I really enjoyed the audible version of this story which I loved when I read it.
Josie Rivera writes amazing stories with a lot of substance and well thought out characters as well as every scene.
Her narrator for this audible book was amazing with her Irish accent.
I found myself listening to the whole story all at one time just like when I read it all in one sitting.
It's that good.
There is definitely potential for more stories to make this a series. I hope that happens.
I highly recommend you get this audible and the book to read.

Irish Inspiration

I was given a free copy of this Audiobook In exchange for an honest review. Clara has her hands full with her family problems, some very serious, and she has to work very hard to make ends meet. Danny is very successful, but has a very serious family situation too. When they meet under stressful circumstances will they be in each other's future? Will they be able to mend their past problems as well as their current ones for a wonderful future that includes forgiveness? I loved the Irish and coffee shop setting. The subject of addiction and it's consequences is a very timely one that touches almost every family and is dealt with in this book in a realistic manor. Definitely recommend.

Overcoming the past

This was a sweet story about Clara, who wears her heart on her sleeve and is devoted to her family. Danny is making his mark on the world one coffee shop at a time. He, too, has to rise above his childhood. I love how this couple interacts with one another. Their romance is sweet and real. The author did an excellent job of writing deep characters. The narrator did a wonderful job of the accents in the book. My only issue with the audible book was the tinny sound of the narrator. It sounded like she was in a can and it distracted from the story. Once I was able to get over the sound quality, it was a great story.

Lovely clean romance

What a lovely book! I felt like I was on holiday in Ireland getting to know such wonderful characters!
Clara and Danny were both darling. They had been through hard things but worked hard to make their best lives they could. Their story is beautiful.
This book isn’t all pink roses... it deals with suicide, depression, addiction and more. It she’s so in a loving and gentle way. I thought the author did a great job of grounding the book with deeper issues, while presenting a lovely and clean romance!
I listened to the audio version and the narrator was fabulous! The production itself was tinny and hard to hear... but I got used to that quickly and truthfully it didn’t distract from the book itself!

Realistic and charming

I loved the story. The author wrote a well thought out and believable love story while incorporating difficult subjects of addiction, abuse, suicide, and childhood trauma.

The character development was perfect for this story.

The narrator did a wonderful job, despite the recording being tinny.

I would recommend.

A poignant story of an Irish “ lad and an almost Irish lass”

This is a very touching story of a man who overcame a devastating childhood and is on his way to becoming a billionaire. It is also story of addiction, prejudging, acceptance, forgiveness, and the wiles of romance.
The story begins with an attempted suicide, then proceeds with a girl untrusting of men. She has made her own mistakes and is determined to not make more. She is a stubborn, extraordinary woman who has a bad habit of jumping to conclusions. It also centers on a man who is confident and self- driven. He is untrusting of close relationships. Little did each expect to be put together through the actions of another.
The characters are portrayed very well, as are the background scenes. It is easy to feel a part of the story. The Title and Cover image are chosen well.
There are some unexpected twists which adds to the story’s appeal.
The performance of narrator, Jodie Kearns, would have been excellent if she had chosen a better place to record. The hollow echo sound, caused by the location she was in, was quite annoying and distracting .

Irish swoon

I’m not sure if I enjoyed this because the narrator was so fantastic, or I just liked Ireland. A great story that might be my favorite of this author.
