This is one mistake Sienna Landry can't buy her way out of. As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she's in trouble. It's not the busted headlight and dented grill that's sunk her though. It's the downright sinful man in front of her that's the problem. The small-town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline, and Sienna isn't sure why that's so sexy, but it is. It so is.
Have my baby. That was what my single-dad best friend, Seth, said to me while I was waitressing at the diner. His little girl wants a sibling. But Seth is a workaholic millionaire and doesn't have time to meet someone. Someone who won't screw him over, like his kid's mother. Only problem is this someone has secretly been in love with him since high school. I've been hiding it forever, not wanting to risk our friendship.
As Tampa Bay's star center, Mark Carmelo's life was hockey, and after a bitter and public break up, all he wanted to do was focus on the game. Until he saw her - the one that got away, the one he thought he'd never see again. For 13 years, Stevie West drowned in her lackluster life. Recently divorced from her “roommate” with passionless benefits, she was ready to start over on her own. Until she ran into him. The same man she'd met one year ago. The temptation that had finally given her the courage to find herself again.
It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?
I'm a reporter, and I've got the best assignment in the world - get dirt on the hottest country star on the charts, Keith Perkins. The sexy beast who rocks those tight jeans like nobody's business. I'm supposed to learn all of his Dirty Laundry, his deepest and darkest secrets. Without sleeping with him. Easy enough, right? Wrong. I mean, just looking at him makes me wonder what those big, rough hands could do to me. With a voice that's one part velvet and one part growl, it's hard for me to sass him when he melts me into a puddle with a single look.
The first time we met was at a party. Your ex arrived to show off the person he'd left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date. I was more than happy to help. You were attractive, smart and witty--and that kiss we shared? It left me wanting you for days. The second time we met was in my office on campus where we were both surprised to discover you were the new master’s degree student in poetry that I would be working with. You promised to be professional. I did no such thing. The late nights and intense study sessions spent alongside you majorly throw me off my game. I want you, and I fight with myself daily over this fact. I know I'm crass, that my sexual innuendos and dirty mouth annoy you, but I live for those two bright spots of color in your cheeks. If that's the only reaction I can get out of you, I'll gladly take it. You hate Mondays so every Monday I slip an anonymous poem into your bag and your smile gets me through the week. I think I'm falling for you, and I know it's wrong. I know that I'm only supposed to be the adviser to your program and nothing more, but here's the thing. I think you're falling for me too.

Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned. By her boyfriend she found in her bed...with someone else. By the contract she signed that obligates her to work with him until the songs for his new album are complete. By her agent when she asked Dylan to keep their breakup on the down-low. When she finds herself in Sunnyville, she refuses to let her new roommate burn her too. Still...a rebound has never looked so good.
I'm one puff piece away from tearing up my journalism degree and hurling my laptop into the Hudson River. So when I smell a juicy story brewing at my brother's Wall Street investment firm, I'll do whatever it takes to get my scoop. One clever disguise later, I'm deep undercover as the firm's newest broker, simultaneously gathering intel and spouting off stock tips like a boss. Go me, right? Sure, it sounds good on paper, but there's a catch: the actual boss. Chief Executive Panty-melter Jack Holt is cocky. Infuriating. And one smoldering look has me ready to violate every rule in the employee handbook. Thank God my assignment has an expiration date. Because falling for my brother's best friend and business partner is a lose-lose proposition. Right?
How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons: Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check. Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check. How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons: Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony-looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season. Check. Check. Check.
I'm that guy. Camilla Landry rustles against me, the silky fabric of her overpriced lingerie slipping along my bruised rib. The porcelain perfection of her skin is even more innocent against the colorful ink dotting my own. It's demure meets damaged, pampered meets punctured.
She's the tutor I hired to teach me Italian. She's way too young for me, but she's also gorgeous, bright, and filled with a curiosity about life that I find incredibly refreshing. It's f--king adorable. I’m old enough to know better, but this pretty, young thing tempts me beyond belief. And for the first time in my life, I can see myself falling. But is our attraction enough to get us through the complications of a massive age gap and an international love affair? Only one way to find out....
I'll be the first to admit that I live at extremes. After going 10 years locked in what felt like a dysfunctional marriage, I'm now decidedly boy-free. In nearly three years I've had no boyfriends, no flings, no dates, and no sex. For the sake of my dream career, the sacrifice has been easy. At least it was. Until he came along. Lukas Hendricks. He's rude, gorgeous, arrogant - a stone-carved wall of muscle and distraction. He's everything I know to avoid but there's no avoiding your next-door neighbor.
They were best friends until they became roommates. Booker Harris has spent the last several years pushing himself to become the best goalkeeper in the Championship League. Tired of living in the shadows of his headline-splashing brothers, he has finally carved a path of his own. As a child, Poppy McAdams was content in her own little make-believe world, until the boy next door with dimples and pained eyes came barreling into her makeshift fort demanding all her attention. Best friends for most of their lives, everything changes when Poppy abruptly leaves London for University. Now she is back, and gone is the awkward girl from Booker's youth.
I hate my new roommate. And I want to do dirty, delicious things to her in that swing she installed that we both know has nothing to do with aerial yoga. Neither of which is good, considering Diana Daniels is my NHL team captain's little sister, and he will break my face if I'm not a perfect gentleman. I try to be. Really, I do. But Diana has all sorts of Jedi mind tricks to make a man obsessed with getting her into bed, and I'm not gonna lie - I fall for every single one of them.
Kale Bryant. Arrogant. Gorgeous. Commanding. This ER doctor is married to his job. His only vice is one-night stands and short-lived flings. He learned a long time ago loving someone isn't worth the risk. Harley Hope Masterson. Beautiful. Brave. Sweet. The owner of a small coffee shop knows what it's like to struggle. Embroiled in a bitter divorce, she's threatened with losing everything. When Kale accepts a new position down the street from Hope's shop, he begins to question every wall he's built around his heart.
I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.
We met in a trapped elevator. Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie. I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right? At 35, my life hadn't taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting - I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen. After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner - he also insisted on something else - that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy.
Growing up, the three of us were friends. He was the nerd. I was the playboy. She was the beauty. Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits. He lied. I went off to college, and he got the girl. Amber never knew how I felt. They were together for years - before he broke her heart. Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch. When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.
I’ve always been the person that does whatever someone tells me I can’t.
Can’t graduate with a four-point-oh? Check. Can’t win a modeling contract without trying? Did it. Check. Can’t make it in the pro football league? Triple check with an MVP Award on top.
When my best friend told me to stay away from his little sister, Layla, it didn’t sound like a challenge. Then again, I’d never seen her before.
He obviously wasn’t thinking about who he was talking to if he believed I could ignore her. I obviously wasn’t thinking of him at all when I fell in love with her either. Fact of the matter is: I not only fell harder than a quarterback sack on a Sunday night game, but I did us one better. Kind of like that MVP award, only not so shiny. Sort of like my Player of the Year title, except the only thing I’m walking away with is an ex-best friend and a woman that hates my guts.
It’s okay. Just tell me I can’t win her back.
I’m Branch “Lucky” Best, and today’s my lucky day.
This is a standalone romance.
This was the perfect sweet and sexy listen! Even though I have previously read Lucky Number Eleven, listening to the audiobook took it to a whole new level! I am a huge fan of Adriana Locke's books and this one had all the witty banter and heart that I love so much. The chemistry between Branch and Layla was scorching and I loved all of their back and forth innuendo and ribbing. Even though the start of their involvement is based on lust and sexual attraction, their actual romance is gradual and organic. There is a bump in the road and the inevitable push and pull, but it works because these characters actually grow to care about each other and you're invested in their relationship. The secondary characters, especially Poppy, were such a fun treat. She has no filter and will tell you how it is, but at the same time she is supportive and fiercely loyal. I really hope that we get her (and Finn's) story one day.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross were fantastic as always and flow together so perfectly. They complement each other so well and are one of my very favorite narrating duos. Wen couldn't have performed Branch any better! You really don't want to miss your chance to get lucky!

Kai and Wen have knocked it out of the park with their narration duo, I love the passion and intensity they put into every story. This is a great sports romance story that will have you cheering Branch on throughout the story. Layla has had a past that she doesn’t want to repeat again and is cautious when it comes to dating anyone else now. We’re given twists and turns that will keep you on your toes and swooning at times too. Absolutely LOVED the ending that we were given, happy tears all the way.

Omg!! I loved this super sweet, sexy, funny read!!
Layla has had it with dating football players!! She still in a funk after her recent break up with Quarterback Callum Worthington after he was busted cheating on her. She decides a road trip to her family lake house with her bestie Poppy is exactly what she needs!!
She doesn't expect for her brother, Finn, to be there with his super hot friend and teammate Branch Best. Finn let Branch now right away that his sister is strictly off limits!!
After endless flirting between Layla and Branch for the last couple of days, Finn and Poppy end up leaving for a trip to town. One thing leads to another and things end up getting hot and heavy between Layla and Branch. Layla knows not to get attached because Branch was upfront about how he never gets in relationships because of the schedule involved with playing football. She can definitely handle having a weekend fling. Plus, she's over dating football players!! Things get crazy when Finn finds out amongst other surprises!! I loved this fast paced read!! I could get enough!! Branch Best is definitely the best!!
I received an early copy and voluntarily left my honest review.
* update. I already read and loved this and when I was offered a free copy of the audiobook I couldn’t wait to listen to it! The narrators did an awesome job and I loved it a second time around! I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I love a good football romance, and Adriana Locke really scored with this one! It's flirty, funny, and super sexy yet still sweet. I adored the witty banter and great characters. The chemistry was off the charts- I loved Layla and Branch together. Lucky Number Eleven was a quick, fun read and although this is a standalone, I'd love to see more of these characters. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott were great narrators and I was so pumped to see that the narration was done duet style- it's pretty rare but I am so glad the style is catching on and hope we see more of it. It adds so much to the experience.
Here's a quick definition of the two different styles of multiple character narrations.
Duet narration = narrators alternating reading the male and female parts in a chapter.
Dual narration = narrators reading entire POV chapters.

I loved this story the writer along with Kai and Wen really have a hit. This is a good all over romance with a loot of substance and lots of sex I really was so into this book LOED it
This forbidden romance was so sweet and charming and so much more than I expected! It captured my heart right from the start, making me laugh and swoon till the very end! Branch “Lucky” Best went to his best friend, Finn Miller's cabin, for a long weekend before training camp begins. Finn's sister, Layla James Miller, and her bff, Poppy Quinn, are there as well. This foursome are so perfect together. Their rapport is easy, and their banter is hilarious. Branch tries to stay away from Layla but their chemistry is off the charts. He likes how smart, sexy, and easygoing she is. He especially likes that she doesn't care about his status. Layla has been burned by athletes before, and isn't interested in going there again. But she can't deny the attraction she has to his stupid sense of humor, his kindness, and especially his dangerous and filthy side. They agree to have a passionate secret affair just for the weekend. But when it's over, and they go back to their lives in the real world, secrets can never be kept secrets for long. Branch and Layla are great together and I was cheering for them all along. I also love Poppy and Finn. They add so much depth, charm, and honesty to this story. Ms. Locke expertly creates characters that you really care for in heartfelt and sexy stories. Narrators Wen Ross, and Kai Kennicott were a perfect pair to bring them to life and make me love them even more. They also had an easy rapport and I can honestly say this is the first duet narration that I've enjoyed and now understand the appeal.
I really loved this romance and need more of all of these characters. I hope we will get a story about Finn and Poppy too! This is a funny, sweet, sexy and moving story that I didn't want to end!
Would you listen to Lucky Number Eleven again? Why?
Yes. The story is great. Adriana Locke has again written a wonderful story and made it so you want to put the book down. Branch and Layla are great together. Kai kennicot and and Wen Ross make it a great listen also.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Lucky Number Eleven?
When Layla told branch off at the cabin.
Which character – as performed by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott – was your favorite?
Layla as she is so strong.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes but most of Kai kennicott and Wen Ross , or Adrianna locke books I do. I can’t seem to put them down.
Any additional comments?
This is a wonderful read/listen. I highly recommend this book/audiobook. It is a stand-alone.
I absolutely loved the audio version of Lucky Number Eleven by Adriana Locke. Additionally, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott absolutely nailed the narration and brought this story to life for me! I am a huge sports romance fan and Adriana Locke gave us a touchdown and a win with Lucky Number Eleven! This was such a sweet and charming story!
Layla recently had a breakup with a football player and is now determined to stay away from athletes all together. Then she meets Branch, her brother’s friend and teammate. He is charming and determined to have her. Branch “Lucky” Best plays hard both on and off the field. He is a man used to getting what he wants, when he wants. He is known for no-strings relationships, but something about Layla calls to him.
Branch and Layla have a strong connection and chemistry almost immediately, but Branch knows she is off-limits as Finn’s sister. Finn pretty much tells Branch hands off! However, Branch has never been one to follow the rules.
This was a bit of a forbidden love story with a lot of charm. It was a sexy and sweet. I loved the chemistry between Branch and Layla. I loved all the characters and the story!
Lucky Number Eleven was a great listen and I absolutely loved it! I would recommend both the book and the audio! I must say Wren and Kai really brought this story to life for me and made it a great listen! They make a great team.
Lucky Number Eleven by Adriana Locke was a great read. Branch Best has always strived to complete anything people say he can’t. That doesn’t change anything when his best friend says he has to stay away from his little sister Layla. I loved reading Branch and Layla’s story, and can’t wait to read more by Adriana Locke.
Just like I said when I read the eBook version of this book Ms.Locke's novels always feel like I'm going home again and it's the same with this audio book!! Such a fantastic feeling!! This story was even more of a great experience this time around and going back into this world again thrilled me. I absolutely loved Kai and Wen's narration!! They really made Layla and Branch come to life and shine in a new way for me. They are such an epic narrating duo!!
Branch still frustrated me but I couldn't help but fall for him all over again this time around. I adored Layla too!! If possible I went through even more emotions while listening to it.
Lucky Number Eleven was one of the most fun listens of 2017 for me!! This is definitely one I'll go back and re-listen to in the near future!! (:
