Publisher's summary

The hottest collection of studs in romance” (New York Times best-selling author Angela Knight) returns as J. R. Ward brings together two of the most beloved people in the Black Dagger Brotherhood world - at last...

Qhuinn, son of no one, is used to being on his own. Disavowed from his bloodline, shunned by the aristocracy, he has found an identity as a brutal fighter in the war against the Lessening Society. But his life is not complete. Even as the prospect of having a family of his own seems within reach, he is empty on the inside, his heart given to another...

Blay, after years of unrequited love, has moved on from his feelings for Qhuinn. And it’s about time: It seems Qhuinn has found his perfect match in a Chosen female, and they are going to have a young. It’s hard for Blay to see the new couple together, but building your life around a pipe dream is just a heartbreak waiting to happen. And Qhuinn needs to come to terms with some dark things before he can move forward...

Fate seems to have taken these vampire soldiers in different directions, but as the battle over the race’s throne intensifies, and new players on the scene in Caldwell create mortal danger for the Brotherhood, Qhuinn learns the true meaning of courage, and two hearts meant to be together finally become one.

Outstanding as always

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I don't know how she does it, but J.R. Ward out does herself with every additional book in this series. Wow.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My all time favorite in this series is Rhage, but in this book it is Blah. Blah has taken a lot of rejection from Quinn and it was nice that he finally received the love he deserve from both his parents and Quinn.

What does Jim Frangione bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings a great depth to this series. He brings a lot of how the characters feel and who they are through his narrations. Great with the male characters and brings strength to the female characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it is, but no I didn't. There is no way I could sit 23 hours straight and do nothing else, but the story was so good that the time just flew.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this series.

if you are homophobic don't listen!

What made the experience of listening to Lover at Last the most enjoyable?

Quinn and Blay FINALLY get together!

What did you like best about this story?

Ummmmmmm, Quinn and Blay. Ok, I like that future stotylines were incorporated to continue the series. But mostly, yeah, Quinn and Blay. I'm totally hetero but have been rooting for these two for a while now!

Which scene was your favorite?

When Quinn lost his virginity to Blay. It wasn't about the sex, it was about Quinn giving the only thing of value he had left to Blay.

Absolutely Love The Brotherhood

Where does Lover at Last rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right up there with all the rest of the BDB books. I have listen to them all and have lost sleep with every single one of them. There is no good place to say " Okay, I'll stop here and pick back up tomorrow".

Who was your favorite character and why?

Love each and every one of the characters, can't pick a favorite.

What does Jim Frangione bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He just brings it to life. I think the voice he has given Wrath is just downright sexy. I'm certainly happy that he has narrated the entire series. Really throws me off when they change narrators after several book. I have a hard time getting through that book or being able to recommend it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The characters have been fleshed out so well that you can't help but get involved emotionally. Cry for Zsadist or Tohrment and Wellsie and the unborn young. Laugh at Butch and Vishous going on about the SOX. Root for Blay, that he finally gets what he wants and Qhuinn to man-up before it's too late.

Any additional comments?

I know "The King" is coming out in April 2014. I seriously hope this will not be the last. I loved the way each book was written to spotlight a different brother while still having enough of the rest in to keep the whole story going, but I'm worried we've covered them all and this will be the last installment. Maybe this one will introduce some new characters we just have to know.

What does Jim Frangione bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

By listening to this book it made it seem more like I was there, because I had to concentrate and really listen, thus forming a relationship of sorts to the content of the book and Jim's reading of it.
