Publisher's Summary

Billionaire Greek playboy Iakovos Papaioannou knew his sister hired her favorite band to perform at her birthday party. He's just not sure how their six-foot tall, wild-haired, tempestuous manager has already ended up in his bed-and in his heart. Eglantine "Harry" Knight is so not his type. She's as infuriating as she is intriguing, and she's can't keep her hands off of him. But she just may be the woman who knocks him off the world's most eligible bachelor list for good....

great humorous read

Narrator gives a just right voice to the characters. Enjoyed the humorous dialog between the female character and herself. Loved that there were no whinny characters. Have listened to this audio book twice and enjoyed it both times.

Qirky, funny, light without too much angst

this story is typical Katie MacAllster style. with lots of quips, quirks and sex!
I enjoyed the story but don't go looking for any depths in the story (there aren't any) just a light hearted romance.

I would split the performance review down the middle giving a thumbs up for the voice of the heroine (Harry) she did a great job with the spunk of the dialog and the emotions came out well. but all the rest of the characters were flat and lifeless for me with little to differentiate them from each other.

read this if you want a break from the angst of the world around you... if you want something a little deeper try something else.

Good but story but missing a real bad guy

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, I laughed out lout a few times, the only real problem was no real vilain in this one, a few conflicts but nothing major enough to get more than a passing interest. The ups and downs of Yakki and Harry are adorable, but I wanted something more out of this one. a nice story, but just that, a nice one.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I was expecting something like what we got, but that was a good ending. Actually I wanted the story to continue.

What about Felicity Munroe’s performance did you like?

Made me laugh

Did It's All Greek to Me inspire you to do anything?

not really, but it was a relaxing story, something to listen when doing something else with your hands.

Any additional comments?

Not a great book from Katie, but a fun one. Keep them coming, I still love your humour and sence of fun.

boring sex scenes linked with an absent plot

What would have made It's All Greek to Me better?

a plot, some character development,

What could Katie MacAlister have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

i have read some Katie MacAlister books and they were fun. this one had zero plot, it simply jumped from one boring sex scene to the next.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

annoyance

Hilarious and Sexy

I have this book in both paperback and now on Audible, it never fails to make me laugh at the atmosphere the two main characters have between each other. The love scenes are well played out and at the same time it always makes me chuckle.

Bad just so, so BAD

I’ve read quite a few MacAlister books over the years and this is the first one I’ve read that I didn’t find even a little bit funny. It also contains absolutely no plot, it had huge awkward gaps and the only way McAllister seem to try to fix this was with adding an additional sex scene. I don’t mind sex scenes in books but I don’t want the whole book to be boring sex scenes, emphasis on boring. This book was so bad I almost didn’t finish it; I had to come back like, 12 times to get through it.

Felicity performance wasn’t the best I’ve ever heard from her but considering the material she was working with I really can’t blame her.

Surprised...

What did you love best about It's All Greek to Me?

The drama, the surprises.

What was one of the most memorable moments of It's All Greek to Me?

When Harry met Iakovos and realized she was in trouble....

Have you listened to any of Felicity Munroe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to any other performances by Felicity.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

What do you get when you combine a Sassy American with a Tall, Dark, Handsome Greek?

Any additional comments?

I don't usually read contemporary romance but the synopsis sounded interesting, so I purchased it....never regretted the choice. I loved this book. The combination of mystery, drama and love was just right.

Not for mature audiences!

Only attempt if you are under 16 years.
Storyline had potential but writer was unable to put it together into something believable
maybe because of too many snappy one-liners!

No Plot

What would have made It's All Greek to Me better?

There was no tension in this story. No problem to be solved. No conflicts that lasted more than a paragraph.

What do you think your next listen will be?

The Dark Ones and the Dragon series are much better examples of Katie MacAlister's work.

Would you be willing to try another one of Felicity Munroe’s performances?

The narrator might be good for a young adult story with younger characters. Considering the age of the primary characters it was very disconcerting to have the narrator make them sound like teenagers.
