Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands delivers a wickedly fun Argeneau novel featuring a vampire ready to claim his mate and the beauty who resists her fate!

A kiss doesn’t mean eternity...

Valerie Moyer doesn’t believe in vampires - until she is kidnapped by a fanged psychopath! After escaping her bloodthirsty captor, she’s through with creatures of the night. Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

...Or does it?

Anders felt a connection to Valerie from the moment he cradled her bruised body in his arms. But before he claims her, he must destroy the vampire who almost stole her from him forever. His job would be easier if Valerie didn’t fight him every step of the way. Still, Anders loves a challenge, and the green-eyed beauty is worth fighting for!

Anders & Valerie

Action in the beginning keeps you enthralled, slows in the middle making you want to skip through a bit, but then punches you in the gut at the end bringing your attention back. I enjoyed it and have listened to it more than once.

Narrator does a good job, but since it was Anders' story, I would have liked a male narrator and more from Anders' perspective.

Easy Listen

This Book was an easy listen and a great novel. Now that said the last few books there was more interactions and conflict between the "bad guys" and the "good guys" this book however concentrates on the couple. Now lets talk narrators, I am Unimpressed with Paula's work. She has a pleasant voice but doesn't do the men justice. I hate her interpretation of Lucian's voice! I think she also fall flat when it comes time to add a little intensity and drama. I'll just say If she narrates the next one I'll just read the book. However It is creditworthy and I did enjoy listening to it. I just wish for a return to one of the previous narrators. I always enjoy a Lynsay Sands book, and I thought the birth scene was sweet.

I love Vampires!

I think all of the Argeneau are awesome! I like the fact you can follow characters from book to book. Lynsey Sands is a wonderful author.

The first of this series I've listened to

If you could sum up Immortal Ever After in three words, what would they be?

After actually reading the first 17 books plus novellas of this series I just knew I'd love to listen to this edition. While I thought the narrator was fine I think I'm use to the voice in my head when it comes to these characters.

Also, I thought the story needed a little something. I just didn't feel the attraction between couple, especially when he keeps saying she wasn't the prettiest woman he'd ever seen. Kinda like, 'oh, she'll do. I guess. If I have to.' But still I thought overall it was a good story and nice performance.

Love it

She is one of the best writers in my opinion. The twist, the turns, and the love. Perfect combination of fighting and sex. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series. Love the audio as well. She did a great job!

Another Argeneau Installment...

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I think it could have been more 'fast paced" and definitely had more of a storyline than half the book describing a dog's habits...or is it just me?

If you’ve listened to books by Lynsay Sands before, how does this one compare?

While I love the Argeneau Series and was eagerly anticipating this lastest installment; this one, unfortunately, fell a little short. It definitely wasn't as entertaining as most of the other novels.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

She definitely could have inflected more emotion in her characters' voices; especially, Anders. His character sounded so monotone.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Maybe a different Narrator.

Good Story and Narration

In this story, Anders doesn't act at all like he has in his previous appearances in other stories. This is a common thing for Lynsay Sands in all her stories to some degree, but it seems more obvious in this story. However, the heroine is consistently strong and never reverts to the damsel in distress that can happen sometimes in Sands's books. There is the matter of the Renaissance portrait, however, that fits at first but doesn't at the end when we learn about Ambrose. I love the birth scene with Valerie multi-tasking as well as Paula Christensen's narration of the story. I laughed many time out loud at that scene. Christensen holds true in her portrayal of emotion as well as her accents for both Lucian and Anders. Well done.

Just not the same ...

Like Carolyn before me, this is nothing at all like the other books in the series.
I miss the action from before. Valerie, seems to get over trauma in no time flat and into Anders bed. It is just not cutting it for me....sorry.
Wish I had not spend my credit....
