Story
When Dorothy Thompson returns to Cherish, SC, to play piano for her brother’s wedding, memories and fear nearly paralyzes her fingers. If anyone she knew back in high school discovers her secret, the whispers will start. Fake. Fraud. Failure. It’s not as if she can blame God for her troubles. No, she did that all by herself. But, remembering His lessons, she’s fighting to get back on track. All she can do is pray the wedding vocalist—her brother’s friend Ryan, a rising opera star—won’t notice the way her hands shake. When Ryan Edwards sets foot inside a church for the first time in years, he’s no longer the pitiable kid from the poor side of town, but someone who’s made it on his own. Without God’s help—not that He ever cared about misfits like Ryan, anyway.

Publisher's summary
A billionaire and a single mother have more in common than they know.
He's a billionaire businessman. Luciano Donati, entrepreneur and eligible bachelor, lost his first wife to cancer. So though he lives in romantic Charleston, SC, he has every intention of ignoring the upcoming holiday for lovers, at least until he sets eyes again on his younger sister's best friend. He remembers Anastasia as a teenager who idolized him, not this lovely, fragile woman with heartbreak in her eyes. Heartbreak that he finds himself wanting to cure. Her smile warms his soul, her touch ignites his desire, and her little girl Soo-Min melts his frozen heart. Adopted internationally himself at a young age, Luciano understands all too well the strong need to belong somewhere.
She's a single mom. Anastasia Markow, cancer survivor and divorced mother, didn't come to Charleston, SC for romance. She's here to make sure she has custody of her adopted daughter, Soo-Min. But when she encounters the first man she ever loved, here in the city of horse-drawn carriages and candlelight, her battered heart can't help but bloom again. And when Luciano and Soo-Min take to each other, resisting his charm becomes even harder. Handsome, self-assured, every inch the successful billionaire, Luciano is out of Anastasia's reach. But when a hurricane strands them together and they must trust each other to survive; things heat up despite the rain. Can Valentine's Day bring this unlikely pair together, this time for good?

Sweet Reunion
I Love you More
Josie Riviera
This is a sweet clean contemporary romance novella. A single mother and a billionaire business meet up after sixteen years. Both have been in relationships, that have since ended. His younger sister is her best friend. When they meet up, the old attraction is still there. A lot of things try to keep them apart. Will these things succeed? A lot of questions need to be answered.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Liz Baechel.

A sweet, short story about love and loss.
A sweet, short story about love and loss. Anastasia has loved Luciano since she was a teenager. She was too young for him then, but now that they have reconnected, she isn't too young. He was married, but his wife died and he hasn't been interested in having any kind of relationship since. Anastasia had a cancer scare, but has recovered. Neither of them are looking for a relationship, but they just can't seem to stay away from each other. He lives in South Carolina and she lives in Vermont. Long distance relationships do not seem to work very well. Will they be able to make it?

Sweet romance
I Love You More is a well written sweet and clean romance. The characters are vivid and the couple with the romance interest have a lot of chemistry. The story is fast paced and the storyline definitely keeps you reading (listening). The performer does a wonderful narration and the little girls voice is adorable.

A second-chance romance in the midst of disaster
Luciano and Anastasia were sweet on each other when they were younger. But with four years difference in age, it wasn't appropriate to pursue anything then, what with Luciano in college and Anastasia still in high school. So, both went their separate ways, started their own lives, and married other people.
Now, years later, their paths cross again, just as a hurricane is about to hit Charleston. Yet amidst the turmoil of their own lives and the hurricane forces around them, they still manage to reconnect.
I enjoyed the storyline and each character's own unique struggles. I also appreciate stories that shed light on issues and topics many people don't think much about; in this case, international adoption and how that affects the children and families involved.
*** Here's a bit of a spoiler, so you may want to stop reading this review here. ***
I will say, though, that I felt that Anastasia cared more about Luciano than he did her. His search for his birth-family took a long time, yes. But they weren't going anywhere. To blow off Anastasia's need for him to be there when she got her biopsy results did not sit well with me at all. And she was too understanding when he did finally show up. Roses and candy (in other words, THINGS) are no substitute for being there when someone needs you most. Having lost his first wife to cancer, you'd think he'd be all the more aware of that.
Overall, though, the story was a good one and I enjoyed it very much. The narrator has a very lyrical voice and was soothing to listen to.

Endearing story
I loved this sweet story about old time friends who finally find each other. The author deals with a lot as there is International adoption, divorce, cancer, search for birth family, putting others needs in front of your own and she does it all very well.
The narrator did a great job with voices and accents. Such a cute child's voice.

Another sweet nibble
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
He's a billionaire businessman.
MY TAKE
This was another short but sweet romance. It's also a second chance love story. Luciano and Anastasia had known each other in school. He's a widower and she's divorced. here's some action with a storm in the beginning and other cozy interactions. They reconnected really quickly, but they both have some learning to do and hurdles to overcome before they can be together. TThe little girl is adorable.
Liz Baechel, the narrator, did a nice job.
