Publisher's summary

Homicide detective Angela Keen thrives on the city’s rough streets. But when she becomes the prize of all prizes in the dragon-shifter world, due to her “high-energy” status, she gets more than she bargained for. Kidnapped by Lothair of the Razorback clan, Angela barely survives captivity before managing to escape. Hurt and alone with nowhere to hide, she faces certain death when Lothair uses the trace energy she leaves in her wake to hunt her down. But before he can reach her, a mystery dragon-shifter intervenes and saves Angela’s life.

Now a guest of the Nightfury clan, Angela regains her strength as her rescuer, Rikar, the last living frost dragon, gradually breaks down her mistrust. Surrendering to her desire for Rikar, but still uncertain of her feelings, Angela goes against his wishes and agrees to be used as bait to lure Lothair into the open. As the battle commences, the true struggle comes from within: Will Angela return home to the life she loves, or forsake it all to be with Rikar?

More of the same...different characters!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Too long.....cut off about 4 hours of wasted words and it would be so much better!

Would you recommend Fury of Ice to your friends? Why or why not?

Probably not...I bought it as an under $10 listen while waiting on credits.

What about Benjamin L. Darcie’s performance did you like?

Now this was not disappointing, he did a good job narrating the story.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

More romance.....less talk.

Good series

Good, quick stories. They're a bit heavy on referrals to sitcoms and stuff though. The narrator keeps switching accents for the same characters for some reason and his high pitched teenager voice for done of the main characters is very annoying. But all in all, he's not too bad.

If you liked the first...you'll like the second

This is the story of Frosty, a.k.a the ice dragon and his "she-cop" Angela. I wanted to listen to this story to see how it would unfold, and it did unfold a bit differently than I thought so that was good. What I didn't like were the inconsistencies and the gaps in story. For example, there is a phone call towards the end of the book and someone is suppose to stay where they are, but when the person shows up they are no longer there....why? Or how Angela was "hurt" but we aren't REALLY sure how she was "hurt"...also not a lot of smexing in this book. Normally I don't mind if an action packed book goes light on the smex...if there is a plot to carry it, this one really didn't.

I want to hear Mac's story in book 3 but I think I'll give up on this series at that point. They are nice filler books while waiting for the books I REALLY want to listen to, but in my opinion this series is WAY weaker than Black Dagger Brotherhood, and The Midnight Breed Series...kind of on par with the Lords of the Underworld series...cool world, not a total waste of time, but nothing gripping.

Oh, and the narrator being a MAN I would expect his male voices to be better. His inflection is good, whispers are whispers and he's okay with all that but this big and tough warrior/fighter sounds like he might be 19 and a virgin...not so good for the swoon moments, which may be why I couldn't connect as well as I would have liked.

Great Story

This is 2nd book in series and it kept the story alive and moving. It picks up where first book stops, however you can read as a stand alone. Ms. C's dragon series is so easy to fall into. Keep them coming. Please.

There's No Fury Like a Dragon Scourned!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would recommend it to a friend, because it has a great plot line and keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fury of Ice?

The part where Rikar saves Angela from Lothair and energy fuses with her to keep her alive.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Possibly had a woman actually narrate the parts spoken by the women in the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, the part where the Nightfury group reunites Forge with his son

Any additional comments?

I can't wait to get the third book in the series!!

So Good, I Read in a Fury

This series is the dragon equivalent of Ward's BDB series... just as solid, sexy and full of action. The alpha males -done so well by the narrator- made me swoon, and the women are strong heroines. The overall story arc will make you want to read each book in the series.
