Publisher's Summary

Nathan wasn't sure why people were so obsessed with dating and sex.

Sure it probably felt good, but he just couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. It might have helped if he knew what he was looking for. But with so many labels and options, he just wasn't sure. It seemed so easy to everyone else, but to him, it felt like something was missing.

Gabriel thought Nathan was absolutely perfect. Sweet, funny, sexy, and completely confused about what he desired; but absolutely perfect. He wanted to help Nathan. Would his sexy roommate be open to something that was completely outside of the box or would Gabriel ruin their relationship before it even started?

Great story

Nathan & Gabriel are roommates. Nathan is smart guy but struggles socially. He's also a bit of a scatter brain & thrives on the boundaries that Gabriel sets for him. After overhearing a sleep talking Gabriel, Nathan begins to wonder if there could be more between the two of them.

I liked how they talked to each other about what they both wanted & made sure it was right for both of them. After years of feeling indifferent about relationships & sex, Nathan is excited & curious about what they are starting.

We are given a front row seat to their beautiful, sensual relationship. I fell in love with both of these men & their kink. Nathan's lack of filter was a great addition, it made me laugh & smile many times & I felt the love between these two men as they explored the lifestyle & each other.

I liked the addition of Eric & Marcus. I look forward to their book.

The narrator really bought them to life & made them real. I enjoyed listening to it & it added a great dimension to a great book most of the time but I will say that at times I felt that Gabriel sounded a bit detached & Nathan sometimes sounded quite juvenile. Overall I enjoyed listening to their story.

I received an audio credit from the author & chose to leave my review.

Sweet book exploring Puppy Play

I liked the narrator, his voice was very pleasant, and he rendered the characters well. An emotional passionate narration is a must in books like these, and Kenneth Obi did an amazing job, I have read a few books by him before and loved his narration in each one.

The story itself was a bit odd and too fast paced at first. Like there was a rush to bring then into the relationship and I could not understand why they got there. Also, Nathan’s character felt very inconsistent, at least at the beginning, it was hard for me to relate to him. Nevertheless, I felt like their relationship was very detailed, respectful and healthy, which is a big plus in ANY kink book to me. Gabriel was very slow paced and helped Nathan explore his sexuality, that was a very good choice of pacing by the author and Nathan was funny with his lack of filter and provided a nice comedic relief.

I like the fact that I can enjoy a book like this even when this is far from my usual reading preferences.

Flawed Perfection

This book is seriously Sexy, and HOT and so well written, the story is about Puppy Play and D/s but it is also really heavy on the Romance, and super sweet. I loved Nathan, he is so Sweet and Cute, and totally scatterbrained with no filter, which I Loved for his character in this book. And Gabriel is Great the way he takes care of Nathan so perfectly, he helps Nathan discover his wants and needs so well, not pushing him into anything but letting it develop naturally. He takes care of him as friends and roommates even before they get together as boyfriends, partners, Puppy/Master.
Audio - The Audio made this book sooo much Better!!! This is a book you might not want to listen to or read in public, you will be Flustered. lol.. It is really Steamy, and I feel like I need to say it again this book is H.O.T. The Narrator really, totally brought these two characters to life. I loved how the narrator voiced Nathan's parts, he made his character perfect, you really got the total feeling of his no filter and how he thinks and feels about everything. He did well with Gabriel too, and made you feel how much he cares, but I just love Nathan so much.

Very sweet!

I really liked this book:) honestly it surprised me how much I liked it. The book is definitely 🔥🔥Nathan really isn't a 100% on his sexuality. Gabriel is Nathan's roommate and helps him discover what he likes. Gabriel is very sweet and patient with Nathan. The story is a sweet one! I highly recommend it

Kink that is surprisingly sweet and adorable

I read this book at the beginning of May, but had forgotten a lot about it, so I was excited to listen to the audio version. I enjoyed it even more the second time through! The first time I read it, I hadn't read a lot of kink, so I spent some of my time going - this is a thing? Is it okay that I like it? This time around, I was able to just ENJOY the story and narration.

Kenneth Obi does a fabulous job with Nathan's social awkwardness and lack of filter, as well as Gabriel's protectiveness and amused tolerance. Sometimes his voice slipped into a different character's sound, but not enough that it docked a star.

If you aren't familiar with the content of this story, it's basically about a guy - Nathan - who doesn't know what he wants from a sexual standpoint, and then accidentally finds out that his roommate (who already takes care of him in a more or less Dom/sub way) is into puppy kink. The way it is approached is just perfect - Gabriel, the Dom roommate - is very careful not to ever do anything that Nathan isn't comfortable with, and is constantly checking in and making sure Nathan is enjoying and is okay with everything. Even though puppy kink isn't my personal cup of tea, this author always does an amazing job of showing why the kink in the book is perfect for the characters and what they get out of it. And Nathan and his lack of filter is HILARIOUS. I will definitely recommend this one to others.

3.5 Stars

This wasn't my usual kind of read, but I did finish it and the writing was good. The author treated the subject with respect and care. Many people would criticize the content of this book, but the relationship between Gabriel and Nathan was genuine and that supersedes everything else for me. Love is love.

Loved it!!

Nathan has been looking for something for a long time. But he didn't know what it was. He has no filter and socially awkward. I loved him.. Gabriel who's his roommate actually fufiled what he's been looking for but it took them time to figure it out. I would love to hear more about them. I loved them so much I want more. And in a perfect world I want Aly to understand and accept him for who he is and actually listen to him and not talk above him.

Fantastic book, even better in auible

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Oh yes I would definitely recommend this to people, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but wonderfully written, I loved it

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character would have to be Nathan, but Gabriel would be a very close second, the characters work so well together, Nathan comes across as a shy guy, who could never understand why everyone got so worked up in romance, Gabriel is Nathan roommate, who thought Nathan was funny great company. Every thing.

What about Kenneth Obi’s performance did you like?

Kenneth Obi's was wonderful to listen too, I read this book a little while ago, Listening to Kenneth bring the story to life, wow...just wow.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Absolutely perfect.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy this author books, they are always different not your normal romances they have unusual sexual topics. Which are always beautiful written, very entertaining. If you want something a little different. Look out for this author.
Highly recommend

Well narrated.

A well narrated story. Both MCs were very well represented. It was obvious from the beginning that they cared for one another and were meant to be together. Good story.

Lovely sweet story

I was given a copy for an honest review. New author and narrator who did a great job.Nathan is sweet, bright and a scatterbrain who has no filter so it was funny hearing him say everything he was thinking. Especially when he was answered and hadn't thought he said it out aloud. Nathan didn't understand what the fuss of sex was until he had it with Gabriel a Dom who is into Puppy play. This was a new kink for me. Watching the way Gabriel had worked out Nathan was a sub and had put things in place in there living arrangement showed he already cared for Nathan. A lovely sweet listen.

I knew nothing about........

OK, so before listening to this book, I knew absolutely nothing about puppy play but it's explained so sweetly in this story. As usual, M A Innes takes a subject that could be considered 'out of the norm' and makes the reader not only understand it but maybe want to try it! The characters of Nathan and Gabriel show that there's someone perfect for everyone and I'm so glad they got a happy ending.

Kenneth Obi does a fantastic job narrating this sweet and sexy story, he voices Nathan and Gabriel in a believable way. They are both loveable but Gabriel's understanding and patience with Nathan shines through.

I'm now eagerly awaiting a follow up story so I can fall for the guys a little bit more.

Go on, give it a try.....you might just like it.
