Surprising turn of events!!

Surprised!! That's the only word that comes to mind. I must say I was initially disappointed when I got to the idea that Kat wanted to be changed. I felt well that's sad, she's not going to be different any more. Just another vampire. And then we find out that she not only has special powers but is averse to human blood and only craves vampire blood! How cool and twisted is that!!! And her mother that this irate irritation and immense hatred to vampires is actually now a vampire! I must say I was blown away. I've thoroughly enjoyed this book just as I've done the rest of the series.

Repeat!

I don’t mind trying-paying to re-listen. It is just as good the second time around!!!!

Love this series. It is character and action driven. Start with Book 1 in order to see the characters grow. I have listened to every book in the series at least twice. Will go through them all again from time to time in the future. They are really interesting and are superbly performed.

Cat is having dreams in which a man is trying to catch her. The man claims that she is his. The man turns out to be Gregor, a truly evil sickening character. Cat spends the entire book trying to get away from Gregor. Bones wants to handle the situation, but Cat does not seem to trust Bones to defeat Gregor.

Great. But I hope you’re listening on 1.3 speed

Great story. Love the series. Narration is great too, but listen on 1.3-1.4 speed bc it’s makes more sense that way tbh

Not my favorite one but still love the series

I can’t stop listening to this series!!!! It’s keeping me entertained by its romance, paranormal, story line, and great characters.
Again, hate the voice of bones and honestly cats moms voice is horrible too. The fact that I can overlook how horrible the voices are should tell you how fun the stories are!!!
On to the next one!! Love!!!!

Disappointed in my favorite series.

I'm a huge Jeaniene Frost fan. Even more, I am crazy for Mac and Bones.
This was a disappointing book, though. There was less romance in the last book, but it was an enthralling, moving plot.
This book has a totally random story. No spoilers here. So there's not a lot I can say to explain my rating. There is far less romance and affection between cat and bones. Maybe readers will say that's how marriage is, but there were several ways to create tension with the characters (I can think of three great ways off top of my head) without resorting to the extremes in this book.
I found myself too upset to pay attention to the plot. And the editor did a poor job, as many meaningless scenes lagged on, frustrating me because cat and bones relationship between cat and bones is in serious jeopardy most of the novel. And they fight the rest of the time when they are together.

This is not the best of the series.
I still don't know what the true nature of cat and bones' relationship is according to vampire law.

YEAH Jeaniene and Tavia!!

I just LOVE this series!! It is, for me, one that I can (and have) listened to several times!! When I don't know what I want to read, I have a few authors I fall back on, and Jeaniene Frost is one of them. I think the relationship between Cat and Bones is REAL! It is sad and funny and snarky and sexy! Cat is a very head strong warrior type woman and has a hard time listening to and taking the advise from Bones and she always seems to get herself into trouble when she doesn't listen. I'm not saying Bones is right all of the time but.........Cat should trust him more. I have already read the whole series, and I must say.....WHAT A RIDE!! and keep them coming.
