Publisher's Summary

Callie Daniels' mother has one dying wish. She wants neighboring rancher, Garrett O'Neill, to marry her 17-year-old daughter. It's not supposed to be a conventional marriage. Garrett O'Neill would keep Callie's ranch safe, and Callie would go away to college.

Four years later, Callie comes home with stars in her eyes and happily ever after in her heart. She plans to make their marriage real until she finds the new housekeeper, Sylvie, in Garrett's arms.

Heartbroken, Callie takes off to her own house, which they closed up four years ago. She stays there with Old Henry, a longtime friend and ranch hand, until her new horse injures her. Garrett forces Callie to move back in to his house.

Callie finally gets her heart's desire. Alone in a line shack, they make sweet love for the first time. Unfortunately, the love light is gone from Garret's eyes the next morning.

Lasso Springs

Really enjoy listening to Meghan Kelly, but sadly this book was just OK for me.
I found Callie to be constantly looking for problems and creating issues for herself and Garrett.
Other than that, majority of the story was enjoyable and listening to Meghan is always a pleasure.

Good drama

While this wasn't as clean as I prefer, it had lots of drama, and was an intriguing mystery with a twist at the end. Great writer!

Callie’s Heart

The audiobook was beautifully written and narrated the age difference between Garrett and kelly though it seem like it was a lot in the beginning didn’t seem as much in the end kelly‘s character had a lot of growing up to do and seem to do it in this book and it was good to see that she was able to succeed in anything she wanted the most highly recommended it was very well written

Rallies and Garrett

This book is one of the best that I have read or listened to in a while. This story takes Callie coming home to Garrett the man she had loved from the time she went to college and came back home. A marriage in name only that Callie wanted to be more. The adventures that they go thru to find their love is what really brings them together. Kathleen Ball is one of my favorite authers. Look forward to the next book..

Great start to the series!

A modern "marriage of convenience" or is it?

Callie has loved Garret her whole life. To save the ranch, her mom convinces Garret to marry her 17-year-old Callie. Garret agrees just to help out but stipulates it is in name only.

Callie goes to college only to return 4 years later still in love with her husband who still does not consider their marriage real. On top of that, someone is trying to take the ranch from them both along with a housekeeper who wants Garret for herself.

Will they lose the land? Will they lose each other? Or will they keep the land and find love, in one another?

Kathleen weaves a great modern story of unrequited love turning to true love. Meghan Kelly once again narrates a great story! Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Sweet Story!

Would you consider the audio edition of Callie's Heart to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version, but since I prefer audiobooks to print, I would say the print is better.

What other book might you compare Callie's Heart to and why?

I can't think of a title that is comparable to this story, but lack of communication could have solved many issues in this book and others.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I really enjoy Meghan Kelly's performance. She is able to put so much emotion into her characters that one would not get reading it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved it when they had their heart to heart.

Any additional comments?

I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I would listen to more books by this author and narrator.
