Exciting

I got this arc via audiobook boom. I enjoyed this story from the beginning to the end. The story was well developed and I loved that the dad talked things over with his wife before making any decisions. Cassie was strong and smart. The narrator was good and told the story well. It is worth a credit.

Hot football players and bear shifters, woo hoo!

What made the experience of listening to Baller Bear the most enjoyable?

A really strong lead female character. Cassie is consistently strong and driven throughout the book, when things gets tough she pulls herself together and keeps doing whatever needs to be done. It's great to have a lead female who isn't in need of being saved all the time!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cassie for all the reasons above.

Have you listened to any of Jonathan Young’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I think this is the first. Jonathan has a lovely deep voice and i was pretty impressed by how well he did the female voices, they're believable, which is tough with a voice that deep.
The narration had a nice rhythm to it that drew me into the story and kept me hooked.

Any additional comments?

I liked Brett as well, he isn't intimidated by a strong woman and he's dedicated to his family, that's a winning combination.

The shifter story-line takes a path that I haven't seen before, with so many stories in this genre that doesn't happen very often.

Ok story, likable characters

Would you try another book from Amy Star and/or Jonathan Young?

Yes, I would try another Amy Star book but I'm not so sure about Jonathan Young. I was not impressed by him with this book.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I liked how she tied football moves in with fighting moves. It could have been more intense if the narrator would have brought more emotion and better voice to match the story.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jonathan Young?

Someone who could do voices. Jonathan was boring and his voices were not good at all. The females in this book were strong women but they did not come across as such.

Was Baller Bear worth the listening time?

It was different than most shifter books I've read or listened to so it was worth a listen.

Had potential

The story had potential but the narration ruined it for me. I had a hard time finishing this book, the narration was like a robot, monotone.

good

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me for a honest, unbiased review. This was good, it was different, it was not the every day shifter story out there. Liked that alot. Loved how the characters were grounded in reality, even though the whole shifter genre is not reality. Gave the whole story a more believable air.

Difficult Love..

Any additional comments?

The male lead, Brett and Cassie, the female lead, find love in unexpected places.

This story line was filled with love, family, and magic which made it a Good Read and

Difficult to put down.

Jonathan Young did well with the narration.
