Publisher's summary

When a high-society party is crashed by a naked, knife-wielding, blood-covered man who "thinks" he might have killed someone, Eve Dallas must track down the crime, and the criminals. Everything points to Satanic ritual, but Eve doesn't believe in devil worship.

Just okay

I am a fan of the series. However, the shorts are not the ones I like the best......

Story

Same strong characters provided good dialog and an interesting story line. Missed the ancillary characters.

Murder breaks up formal gala

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is short, just takes a couple of hours, but has a lot of action within that time. It's a good mystery story, too.

What did you like best about this story?

Eve and Roarke are both invested in the outcome of the mystery but on almost opposing sides on how to get results. They argue and get angry with each other but are respectful.

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

I always like Roarke's Irish brough the best but I though Detective Peabody was good, kind of comic relief.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had it's intense moments.

Any additional comments?

No.

Great story

Kinda short and to the point. Could have been a full novel but, Nice to see Eve open a little outside her scope.

Ritual in Death

Whew, a short, quick horrific case for Dallas and Peabody! I love this series, author, narrator and characters.

Satan be Dammed

Spring 2060, Eve discovers a satanic cult has performed a ritual in one of Roake's properties. Fast moving story as Eve and colleagues solve the brutal crime in room 606. Great read by Susan Erickson. J.D. Robb wrote an excellent storyline. ⚘⚘

Could have been a longer story.

Would you listen to Ritual In Death again? Why?

Good, as usual. I enjoy this entire series.

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Susan Ericksen is truly one of the best narrators out there.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I think the

Interesting concept

Would you consider the audio edition of Ritual In Death to be better than the print version?

I'm not sure, I haven't read the print version. I think I would have liked to read the jacket and fly pages so I knew a bit more about what to expect.

What other book might you compare Ritual In Death to and why?

This question escapes me, I hadn't read any of this series before, so I had no idea what to expect. It was like going to a whole new country without a travel guide. I think it's time to find the first in the series to understand the premises better.

What about Susan Ericksen???s performance did you like?

She was fine, a good reader that understood the text.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were some "yuck" moments. That's not an editorial comment, they were supposed to be yucky and they were!
