Publisher's Summary

  • Why Genesis remains critically important in presenting the Gospel
  • How the biblical account of Creation impacts your understanding of Scripture and worldview
  • Why evolution does not and cannot fit within the biblical timeline of history

In 1987 Ken Ham wrote what would become a prophetic warning to the Church about the destructive effects of compromise with evolutionary ideas, and how this compromise undermines Scriptural authority and erodes Christian confidence in the infallibility of God's Word. Today we have Christians not only confused when it comes to Genesis and age of the earth, but even the reality of Hell, Adam as a real person, and Christ's own words about creation, marriage and more are being debated in the pulpits across the world. In this special revised and updated edition, Ken Ham again takes the lead in pointing out the looming precipice the Church is rushing towards, how evolution and/or millions of years, is driving away young people of the faith, and the biblical solution that can change it!

Could have been condensed.

I know the idea is repetition to sink into memory, but I felt like the book was 90% we need to teach this stuff, so "go to our website and find out what to teach" and 10% evidence. I felt like the book could have been at least 20% shorter.

You should read or listen

This book answers quite a few questions and helps solidify the foundation to move forward as a Christian or in your search. It probably could 30% shorter because there is a lot of repetitive content. But nevertheless it was good.

Must Read

This is a must read for every Christian. Learn the importance of basing your worldview on the authority of God's word rather than man's fallible thinking.

Good, but repetitive

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I wish it went into more detail. Felt like it was a 2 hour book stretched to be much longer.

Any additional comments?

The importance of biblical authority can't be understated, but I wish it gave more apologetic based tools instead of just repeating itself over and over.

The logic is undeniable

I love how the author goes through step by step, demonstrating each theory and comparing them with the account in Genesis.

Ken Ham Nails It Again - Great Narration Too!

What made the experience of listening to The Lie the most enjoyable?

It's easy to listen to a book when you are hearing Biblical truth. Ken Ham's books are a blessing to a generation who has lost Biblical truth. Hopefully, this will bless many and we will again begin to raise Godly children in this nation.

Who was your favorite character and why?

N/A - Joe did a great job narrating though!

Any additional comments?

God bless Ken Ham and his ministry Answers in Genesis! Narrator Joseph Zieja made for a great listen!

The TRUTH!

Wonderfully written and timely. This book is light in the darkness and a warning ignored at your own peril. It is time for the Church to awaken and this is the call. So join us Christian soldiers and don the belt of truth!

Our faith made valid by it's foundation

Would you consider the audio edition of The Lie to be better than the print version?

It's good to have the printed text before you but I do better in understanding & comprehending it by hearing it in it's original spoken lecture format. I'm hoping it will get formatted to {WhisperSync} for a more enriching experience.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lie?

Ken Ham is just an awesome teacher in backing up Creation with biblical scripture. His wisdom an efforts are a treasure for all Christians in fortifying their faith.
