Answers to the Question of Death

I loved the biblical basis of this entire book and how it is grounded in Scripture. The explanation is so good about why death happens and why suffering happens.

MUST READ

This is the best book on this subject. If God is loving and all powerful, why is there so much suffering? This question comes up for believers and unbelievers.

Overall: Ken Ham does a phenomenal job explaining this. This book helped me see that sin is the cause of so much and we don’t even realize it. This has helped me trust the Lord so much. Definitely read if you are thinking about it!

Excellent

Excellent book! It gave me great insight to some of my own questions I’ve had. I highly recommend.

Valid points

The points the author made were valid and someone who truly believes and knows the Word of God can find this reaffirming and reassuring, but this doesn't provide answers in a way I think most people would expect, so some may think it falls short of the subject matter. This book is essentially how he and his family wrestled with the loss of a loved one combined with apologetics - using the Bible, specifically the fall of man in Genesis, to look at the circumstances and our world from a different perspective. I enjoyed the book overall and think many people can find it useful in time - if read after loss or something that can be recalled during their time of pain - if read before loss. The only issue I had was with the audiobook. At the 43:12-43:42 mark, approximately, it is repeating the part about Darwin being outside the church at his daughter's grave as his family goes inside and sings, along with a bit more being repeated, from a previous chapter. I honestly thought that I had accidentally rewound my book, but I had not. I do not know if this repeated portion is in the print book or it was simply a mistake on the audio. Other than that and the occasional mention of Answers in Genesis, which may sound like a "plug" for AiG to others, that the author founded, it was a good read overall.
