Overcoming the Never-Enough Mentality to Experience True Kingdom Abundance

Prosperity. It's one of the most dividing words in the church. Some pastors use it to tell their congregations that God will make them all rich, rich, rich! Others spurn the word and insist that true Christlikeness is found in forsaking all worldly riches and possessions.

The truth is, both are right - and both are wrong.

With refreshing honesty, humor, and keen insight, best-selling author and pastor Kris Vallotton mines the Scriptures in an eye-opening study of what the Bible really says about money, poverty, riches, and wealth. And what he finds is sure to shake up what you thought you knew - including these surprising truths:

  • Jesus was not poor and homeless
  • Heaven is described in the language of wealth
  • Poverty is a mindset that holds us back from true wealth
  • You determine your wealth based on how much, and how well, you love yourself
  • God wants all his children to be wealthy, though not everyone should be rich

Kingdom prosperity begins from the inside out. When you learn to cultivate a mindset of abundance, no matter your circumstances, you will begin to experience the wealth of heaven in every area of your life.

Great book!

Amazing book!
Thank you Kris for sharing your life experiences and wisdom. He gives you in-depth ways to prosper in life with biblical guidance.

I also liked that he read the book himself. It makes it more personal.

Amazing Book on wealth for Christians and all

I was very excited to hear that Kris wrote a book on wealth. It enlightened me to some many non productive thoughts and beliefs I had.

I was convicted about things I had previously done and considered doing as it pertained to money but moreso encouraged that wealth is from God, there are laws about it and principles to obtain it.

I believe everyone should read this book even if it’s not your goal to be financially wealthy but wealthy in terms of quality of life and mentally about how you see wealth and riches.

GREAT GREAT BOOK! Oh and he’s soooo funny.

Falls short compared with Randy Alcorn's book

I listened to this book shortly after listening to "Money, Possessions, and Eternity" by Randy Alcorn. Two different takes on the same subject. Alcorn's takes is more grounded in scripture. If you're on the fence, go with Alcorn - or at least read/listen to both and decide for yourself.

Agree with much, but tithing is not biblical

Inspiring valuable read. Generous giving invites God's blessing; coming under tithing as law is wrong.

practical applications

I feel there were MANY huge takeaways from this book. I consistently bookmarked 30second bursts and have gone back to listen to them a few times. practical application for real life situations are easy to understand. analogies were clear and helpful.
the narration was difficult to follow and at times hard to understand. he took breaths in the wrong places and added incorrect emphasis on certain points. I found that fascinating since he is also the author. but overall, a helpful book.

Mind Shifting

This book will challenge the very core of the way you think...calling you out of small, poverty thinking and into a prosperous, wealthy mentality. It helped us identify areas of our personal and business worlds that need to shift and offered insights on how to practically accomplish the changes we need. I would highly recommend this book, it’s not just theories, but real life... Absolutely INSPIRING...without condemnation.

Powerful, Insightful, and biblically sound.

Enjoyed how Kris takes the realities that many struggle with in finances [both poverty mentalities and lovers of wealth] and takes the reader through how the kingdom of God creates wealth as tool to grow the character and quality of its citizens. Also the practical examples help in understanding how these principles operate in everyday life.

Worth listen to/rereading again

It’s probably going to take a number of times listening to this to get it to really sink in. I love the way that Kris explains biblically the differences between poverty, riches and wealth, but then also gives practical examples and ideas to make it work to for you. My mind is spinning with ideas of how I can implement these not just for myself, but for my kids. I want them to grow up with a godly wealth mindset, not the poverty one I am daily overcoming with the help of Jesus. I truly believe this is an area that the Lord wants His followers to grow in globally.

By the way, Kris did a great job narrating the book, I was impressed. Very easy to listen to.
