Publisher's summary

In these discourses, Osho takes us on a fascinating journey. Beginning with the birth and flowering of Zen, he goes on to eloquently expound on Zen's teachings and meanings, including the letting go of knowledge, which brings us to true knowing, and the letting go of thought and mind, which brings us to the clarity of no-mind and samadhi. These remarkable discourses are original, live recordings made during Osho's extemporaneous daily talks to audiences of disciples and visitors at his meditation retreat in Poona, India. His talks were, and continue to be, central to his work as a mystic trying to find ways to share his experience. And as you listen to this great teacher, you too will enter a state of meditative awareness and come to a new understanding of the balance and enlightenment that spring from this ancient religious path.

Osho is an enlightened mystic whose spontaneous talks to disciples and friends have been transcribed and published in more than 650 books in 35 languages worldwide.

Critic reviews

"Osho is not trying to purvey information, but a truth that bypasses conscious thought and all that belongs to it, just as the most important activities of human beings bypass the mind." (Bernard Levin, The Times [London])

Backround noise awful

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I dont think I would recomment this as the background noise bothered me somewhat and found the story not easy to follow, tried to feel it but really battled with this one...

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

From what I could hear the message was great

What aspect of Osho’s performance would you have changed?

The background noise.....didnt like it at all

brilliant

Osho clearly explains zen in a way that I have never heard. He starts by creating the context: Buddhism began in India as a seed. It flourished in China and flowered in the culture of Japan. Zen is buddhism refined to it's purest essence. This tape is a must have for anyone who is interested in zen.

Best sh*t!

Such a crucial read to step into eastern philosophy. No one did it like Osho. Alan Watts did it better, but Osho has some major charisma in this and the Tao audiobook. Waheguru.
