Publisher's summary

Many in the scientific community shun life after death, considering such experiences impossible. Marcel Westerlund is the exception.

The Swedish psychiatrist, not only uses hypnotherapy to treat people's mental illnesses - he uses it to explore their afterlives as well. Despite being a highly controversial approach, his use of hypnotherapy results in some fascinating stories...and is even integrated directly into the sciences.

Travel back with a patient as she recounts being a queen of Egypt. Discover how a man finds his own grave, finally allowing him to connect with his spiritual existence and find healing. Read account after account of people who come to grips with their past lives, and use these experiences to find happiness in this life.

Pills may curb depression, but Westerlund discovers that delving into people's past lives provides a healing force that he could never accomplish through regular medicine. He talks candidly about his job as a healer as well as the importance of the spirit in mental recovery.

Journey into the soul and learn about not only the existence of past lives but the science behind it.

Fascinating life-changing usage of hypnotherapy

Dr. Michael Newton, Dr. Brian Weiss, Dolores Cannon, Robert Monroe, William Buhlman, and many other authors have provided interesting books about continued existence of consciousness beyond the physical experience. The first 3 authors explored via hypnotherapy and the others, along with too many other OBE explorers who have authored books to mention them all here, have come up with many points of similarity.

This book is a good addition to the genre. I often cringed at what appeared to be a rather aggressive and leading questioning style during the hypnotherapy sessions . . . but this may be a result of the author condensing lengthy question and answer sessions into a shorter writing format.

The benefits to people who were given an opportunity to do deep self examination over being prescribed some pills did seem to be a good point that the author had threading the book from start to finish.

It took a while for me to get used to the narrator.

Fascinating Scientific Exploration of the Afterlife

I don’t normally take the time to write full reviews of my audiobooks beyond just doing star ratings. This time, however, I just had to.

Mr. Westerlund brings a psychiatrist’s scientific point of view to the subject of multiple lives and life between lives, one of my main areas of curiosity. Hearing the experiences of people who have had the opportunity to meet with their higher consciousness under his direction was amazing. I’ve lost count of how many times I had to hit the rewind to hear and absorb these concepts and truths from what he and they believe are the subject’s master souls on the other side, who guide their existences from life to life to help them improve as eternal souls. Absolutely fascinating!

At the end of the book, he ties concepts of quantum physics and string theory to the existence of the soul and it’s consciousness, shining a light on the possible path forward towards making the existence of and importance of the soul and the afterlife scientifically provable and exploitable, at least to some extent not currently possible.

I have bookmarked so many spots in this book and am sure I will be re-reading it again fairly soon.

Highly recommended!
