At 6:38 p.m. on November the 8th, 2021, Joshua Campbell-Abrams was kidnapped by an angry, homeless drug addict named Lukas Page. Joshua was severely beaten, suffered a savage concussion, and was held hostage in an abandoned church on the outskirts of Charlottesville for almost seven hours.

During most of that time, Colin had no idea where his husband was or even if he was still alive. He only knew that Joshua had been kidnapped and was in the hands of a maniac. Frantic with fear, he joined campus and city police in a joint operation to locate and rescue his missing husband. Using phone logs and GPS tracking, the combined task force was finally able to pin-point Joshua's location and execute a rescue operation.

In the aftermath of this harrowing experience, both Colin and Joshua struggled to find their emotional footing while at the same time, they were preparing for the trial of Lukas Page in which Joshua was a key prosecution witness.

In six of these stories, we watch the trial take place. From opening statements to the final verdict and sentencing, we stand with Colin and Joshua as they work to bring Page to justice.

The remaining stories are a window into Colin and Joshua's life in the days preceding the trial and shortly afterward. We watch as Colin struggles with his intense fear of letting Joshua out of his sight, especially after dark. We watch as Joshua deals with the challenges of his injuries both physical and emotional, not always making decisions that are in his own best interests.

They have both suffered an unexpected trauma and don't always demonstrate well-adjusted behaviors in their dealings with each other and with life. But the love they share remains the bedrock of their existence. Their faith in the life they've built together remains unwavering. And in these stories, we watch as the power of that love guides them to eventual healing.

Relationship goals!

Relevant Justice gives us another peek into Colin and Joshua's lives after the events of Relevant Law. I actually own this in ebook format, and when listening to Walker Williams narrate this, it brought in details and nuances that I missed. I love that he has a different voice for each of them.

Colin and Josh's sap-o-meter continues to run high and that is what we know them for in the past books, but in these glimpses into their lives, you will see that not everything is always so sweet and perfect, but they work through them together, as they both recover from the events of Relevant Law.

If you want to start at the beginning, there is an audio box series called Revolutionary Hearts, where their relationship starts which has books 1-3, where you will experience Colin and Josh meeting and beginning their relationship. This one is a part of their 2nd series, Fearless Heart. I would recommend at least read/listen to the first two books in Fearless Hearts before listening to this one.

SO MUCH LOVE

This is the in between follow up for RELEVANT LAW. What happened after the trauma of the kidnapping and crimes committed against Joshua. The trial, the traumatic aftermath and the true strength that love has given these men. JANICE JARRELL writes so beautifully of the love and heartbreak this incident caused. The narration of WALKER WILLIAMS brought this Book to life. His passion and emotional inflection let you feel the emotions in every chapter. This is a wonderfully written journey of love with all the speed bumps. Narrated with a voice that gives each person their own sound and inflection so you always know who's speaking. MAGNIFICENT!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! WELL DONE!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUDIBLE BOOK!!!!!

The love story continues

Relevant Justice is a series of chapters involving the fantastic characters Colin and Joshua created by Janice Jarrell. This book has actions that take place after significant events that Josh and Colin went through and is best enjoyed after Relevant Law. The book has some chapters dedicated to the trial and some describe the characters feelings and emotions before and after the trial.

I was so happy to hear what happened after the harrowing experience that Joshua went through in Relevant Law. This book takes you through the emotional upheaval that people can experience when subjected to a horrific situation and also the impacts that it has on your friends, family, and loved ones.

I have loved every moment of Josh and Colin’s journey. I loved the strength and frailty that love has brought these two. As always, the supporting characters were wonderful. I so enjoy the banter between the friends.

I absolutely adore Walker Williams narration of the stories. When he speaks, I am entranced by his voice. He is like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket. Just so cozy. I love his interpretation of Janice Jarrell’s amazing characters.

I love their love story and recommend this book and the entire series.

Tensely Heartwarm

Love this collection of stories to show how this couple takes on the aftermath of Revelent Law. shows again that they may not be the perfect humans but are perfect for each other. It shows that there is room for growth everyday. Shows that even when facing issues if you remember whose by your aide you can face and take on that issue. Love the emotions that this narrator seems to know just the right way to in tone his voice for . Also love the distinct difference he gives everyone.
