Book 2

This one was a little harder to listen to the story is still good, but it almost seems like the author had a hard time writing it. Some of the chapters don’t quite make sense and sometimes I kind of felt like I had missed something so I went back a couple of chapters, but I couldn’t figure out like what I had actually missed her how the characters had ended up where they were was a little weird a little discombobulated. I’m still gonna go ahead and get book 3, and hopefully it gets better but book to just almost kind of felt like the author wasn’t sure where the story was going or what she could really reveal in the story that’s kind of how it felt.

Who needs sleep??

Once again, J.L. Drake has taken me for a while ride. So many layers. I am in awe of the stories she weaves. So glad the next book is out because I could not just stop where this book ended!

Too long and drawn out, repetitive.

The female character was supposed to be a survivor growing up in a bad family and living on the street, but she was portrayed as being dumb and confused constantly ,The mafia family was also portrayed as confused and not very smart. The answer to every situation was to kill someone usually their own men. This series was really had to keep listening to. Won’t listen to another book by this author.

Great 2nd book

The author has done it again! Pure perfection. Enough Twist and turns to keep the readers drawn in. The narrators are awesome. Can’t wait to read the 3rd installment!

Which way is up?

It just keeps getting better with more and more mystery and deception. It’s hard to know who can be trusted but their love should be strong enough right? Ready for the next book!!!
