really

this would have been a great listen, the female voice really disappointed me and being a dizzy woman who let this man take advantage of her. and acting like she has no control over her reaction 🙄

Good

Great storyline! How the MFC and her child start out was pretty emotional as I know that is a reality for many women.
Once Viktor steps in things change.
It is insta-lust so that was a bit, eh- but it’s not a super long book so makes sense.
It’s a tumultuous story between all characters and keeps interest going.
The MFC can be a bit frustrating with her inner monologues but I try to keep in mind her beginning and it’s realistic to behave that way.
It is a cliffhanger and I will buy the next book because I want to know the ending.
Bradley Ford does an excellent job. Don’t know that I’ve listened to much with him but now interested. He has a nice smooth voice. Marie Hawkins does well too.

This was a great listen. From the first book to the second book. The first book had the perfect cliffhanger making it almost impossible to move on to another book without listening to the second one. I experienced all the feels. Upset with the main characters, trying to guess the next plot twist. Moll and Victor’s story will keep you engaged and unable to put the book down. Mollys experience before Viktor is relatable. Viktor will make you grow a soft spot for mafia bosses. The antagonist will make you justify harm. Buckle up and press download already.

good book

its fun to listen to. the second chapter hooked me in with molly. i wanted to keep listening to know what would happen next. i like viktor and how this story is different from the typical mafia book where the guy is super powerful and doesnt have many issues with his workers. i liked the complex relationship he has with fedor and how much he cares about him. the only thing i didnt like was how quickly molly gave in.

both marie and bradley are good. i just didnt completely like marie's male voice.

its a good book. i wanted it to be completed in one book but its ok. molly acted kinda stupid towards the end so that makes me not want to read book 2 but i am curious about what happens

Weak FMC, Great Voice Actors

The story is pretty good but a weak main female character is so annoying. She makes such stupid mistakes, the MMC even makes a comment about how it feels as though he is watching a scary movie, screaming at the TV "don't do it!" but she just won't listen. Weak female characters take the joy out of stories, especially when they do the obvious, stupid actions and then are stubborn and won't listen to reason. That is this chick. This book is part of a 2 book series. I wouldn't call the end of this book a cliffhanger but it certainly isn't finished, either. The main male character does a couple of stupid things, too, but those can be excused. There is plenty of action, the story is kept at a good, fast pace.
