Publisher's summary

"You got married on your divorce-cation?"

That would unfortunately be correct.

I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce, when I saw him - my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar, and all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes.

Drinks were consumed, fun was had, and then....one drunken conversation with a cranky gondolier in Las Vegas led to an Uber lift through a drive-through wedding chapel with the incredibly hot British bad boy Pike Greyson. On paper, it seemed like I had hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him.

But I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in. I asked for an annulment; he pulled a Ross Geller and said no. That's right, he said no! Instead, he asked for three months to prove we could be good together.

Insanity clearly knocked him in the head, and the only way I could convince him to give up on our sham of a marriage was to show him just how wrong we were for each other. The only problem with that was, he saw right through my every prank, every trick, and every yearning emotion I attempted to mask.

Funny. Flirty. Swoon worthy.

LOL! LOL! LOL! This book was funny and flirty!!!

I absolutely loved Cora and Pike. Also, these narrators were amazing in these roles. They brought this story to life.

I loved the banter between these two. It was fun having the secondary characters show up again.

Imagine getting so drunk, you get married on a dare by a stranger in Vegas to the new teacher at the school your best friends and brother teaches at. Cora tried so hard to get Pike’s attention and he always brushed her off. Then Vegas…

Oh my gosh, the lengths Cora went too get rid of Pike? And the lengths he went too, to be a good husband? Hilarious 😂

This book was funny, flirty, swoon worthy. Meghan Quinn at her best.

Cora and Pike gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫

Cora and Pike

Cora is Arlo's sister. Arlo's book is Put Me In Detention. Pike is a British teacher st Arlo's school. Cora has had a crush on Pike for several months. Both of them end up in Las Vegas for Cora's divorce-cation. Cora gets drunk & meets up with Pike who doesn't know why Cora is there. They end up getting married. Cora didn't want to be married and tries her best to get Pike to leave. Pike has his reasons for wanting to stay married. He asks for three months to prove that they should stay married. They begin to fall in love with each other and then his father tries to ruin their marriage. There are some hilarious antics as Cora tries to get Pike to leave. Pike became one of my favorite people in this series.
I enjoyed listening to Vanessa Edwin and especially John Hartley's British accent.

Full of laughter and fun

Cora is on her divorce-cation with her friends in Vegas and happens to see Pike, who happens to be a teacher along with Cora’s brother and some of the girls on the trip with her.

Pike has his reasons to want to try and make the marriage work but Cora is determined to try and get rid of Pike. She pulls so many stunts that are just hilarious to make him want to leave.

Meghan is my number 1 comfort read author. I go from laughing to smiling to blushing and all over again through her books and this was no exception. There’s always inevitable heartache but all the rest of it makes those moments worth it.

I was lucky enough to get early access to the audio and I think it made some of the scenarios even better to hear vocal reactions. I’ve always read Meghan’s books then “reread” them on audio as a comfort when needed. This was my first time having audio as my first experience and I LOVED it. It was a whole different experience and I highly recommend this audio to everyone!

Don't waste a credit!

I liked the other books in the series, but could not finish this one. The story line was ridiculous but maybe it got better. I stopped at Chapter 6. If you like excessive use of the f-word, you might like this book.

Fun & Heartfelt!

This romantic comedy was filled with sweet moments, heartache, and laughs. Cora’s life hasn’t been easy, and she doesn’t trust easily. She’s had her eye on Pike and a chance meeting ends up being more than she bargained for.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…right? This sexy, swoony, heartfelt rom-com will have you chuckling one second and your stomach bottoming out the next. I love the friendships, the emotions, and how Cora and Pike help each other find themselves. Great story!

Emotional

Cora & Pike are two damaged people struggling to find themselves one more damaged than the other and one fighting against a Tyrannical Patriarch. Find themselves married and though one for the wrong reasons and the other against the whole institution realize that love and fate can show up unexpectedly. The Rollercoaster of emotions and heartbreaking moments Quinn can mend them in her unique way to reach their hard-earned HEA.

Glad we got Cora’s story! And LOVE Vanessa Edwin’s narration

I was excited to see Vanessa Edwin was the female narrator for this book. Her inflection is perfect and I was shocked at how good her male British voice was! Most female narrators have a hard time reading male parts, but Vanessa’s sounded very natural in my opinion.

It was fun to have a continuation of the previous characters we have met in this series. Loved the spotlight on keiko, she’s so cute. I think it’s worth the credit, but listen to the other 2 first!

Light fun read

I feel like.. this book wasn't for me even though married in Vegas is my trope of choice, I feel like something was off. The withholding of information I knew was going to bite Pike in the butt and I held on to that the whole story, waiting for the shoe to drop. It just felt off to me, I never felt their connection, but I really tried. I got through the whole book *which was long* and I tried. Cora had a lot of baggage so I understand her hesitancy, but both of them not being truthful about pretty much anything during the first half of the book (possibly longer) was a real turn off for me.
It was a fun, light, highly spicy read and if you like those things, you will enjoy this one.

Another great Meghan Quinn listen!

Leave it to Meghan Quinn. Cora went on her divorce-cation only to end up married to someone else. I spent a ton of time cracking up while listening to Cora & Pike's story play out! The story was told in a way that only Meghan can tell it. Lots of steamy scenes too! Excellent Narration by Vanessa Edwin & John Hartley.

"You got married on your divorce-cation?"

I belly laughed so much at this book, I've loved the whole series, Earn Your Extra Credit definitely is my favorite so far, but this story following Cora and the new History teacher, Pike Greysons was hilarious.

Cora went to Vegas to celebrate getting rid of her cheating husband, only to end up getting drunk on Fireball and winding up with a new husband, her teacher brothers new British co-worker, and infuriatingly, the man refuses to give her an annulment or a divorce, in fact, hes insisted that they try living together! The comedy ensues as Cora does her best to lose a husband in 30 days and he's doing his best to win her over so his father cant ruin the charity board he runs with his brother.

John Hartley's accent was a bit cringy in parts but Vanessa Edwin did an amazing job.

Very much enjoyed this.

Vegas Fun to HEA

Cora and Pike. They started out with a drunken night in Vegas on her divorce-cation and ended up with an HEA.
The in-between put me through a lot of feelings . I really enjoyed the part in Vegas but then I was mad at Pike. Later on, I became VERY ANGRY at Cora. Then I ugly cried and I hated them both. At the same time, I loved them both so much and really enjoyed this book.
The side characters are also great, with Keiko, once again, stealing the show. Vanessa Edwin was great as Cora and this book reminded me how much I like John Hartley.

I loved it!

This is a great Romantic Comedy. I loved the characters, the banter, the push and pull relationship, the sizzling chemistry, and the sweet romance. Cora is lovely, and determined. Pike is handsome. The supporting characters are great! I loved to see again Cora's friends, Stella, Greer, and Keiko. Some scenes are hilarious!! I love the friendship in this story. This novel is interconnected with Earn You Extra Credit, and See Me after Class. Vanessa Edwin and John Hartley did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it.

You’ll love the Rom Com love story

What can I say about this laughter on the floor love story. Meghan the author knows how to write a couple that Is meant for each other .
Heroine is Coraline. Hero is Pike.
They both meet in Vegas , Coraline celebrating her divorce with her beasties , Next thing Coraline knows is she sees Pike . Pike is a history teacher at her brothers high school. Granted she finds him attractive. Pike finds Coraline attractive also .
When Coraline finally goes home not only does she find herself married, but Pike has already moved in.
Coraline needs to find away to get Pike out but giving up on the marriage. She tries one thing after another. You’ll laugh at some of the stunts Coraline tries

Vanessa Edwin, John Hartley Performance is fantastic. They will pull you right into the story

A Brilliant Fake Relationship Romance Read

After finishing up Earn Your Extra Credit with Pike making his way onto the scene, I was eagerly anticipating Put Me In Detention. Cora and Pike seemed like an opposites attract kind of couple but they find themselves married in Vegas and now both are trying to figure out what they are going to do about it.

I loved Pike's persistence at the start of the book to remain married to Cora. The whole scenario provided lots of laughs, while Cora tried many creative ways to get Pike to run away and serve an annulment. They seem to go head to head a lot but both are just as stubborn as the other and neither would back down. Of course their true compatibility begins to show through and I really enjoyed seeing them both slowly give in to the attraction between them.

With a great plot, awesome secondary characters Put me in Detention really is a great read from start to finish. I have listened to the Audiobook also and I found Vanessa Edwin's performance brilliant. The narrator for Pike (John Hartley) gave a good performance; but I found his English accent as a Brit myself a little posh and stereotypical, but that is a personal preference on my my part.

The bonus of this book is the HEA that is served up for Keiko too. Her friendship with Pike was unexpected but oh so perfect, it was the sweetest relationship and I adored these two characters in scene together. Meghan left me satisfied with her newest release, with a few jaw dropping surprises when it came to Pike along the way (I think we need a book set in this world he came from) and left me wanting more of his brother Killian too.

Glorious Greyson

There’s no point turning back now. I have you. I want to keep you.”

Gah!
Pike was all kinds of dreamy.
It was the little things that made him so glorious. The forehead kisses, the gifts—even if sent in jest—the slight touches.
The way he cared for, protected, supported, and loved Coraline was incredible.

While I saw what was coming a mile away, it didn't lessen the blow.
It. Was. Rough.
And when you have a character like Cora—who was frustratingly stubborn—it makes the battle THAT much harder.

Greer, Stella, and Keiko had me cracking up. Good lord, some of their text threads were absolutely hilarious. I loved the teasing between friends!

While I usually offer unlimited praise for Mrs. Quinn's books, this one I had a few issues with.
That being said, it was still a delightfully entertaining and well written story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

It was, also, a very enjoyable listening experience.
John and Vanessa did an amazing job with the narration.

5 Fireball Stars

We’re back with the teaching staff at Forest Heights High School, Put Me In Detention sees sexy British teacher Pike Greyson marrying Arlo’s sister Coraline ‘Cora’ Turner in Vegas following a very drunken gondola ride. Instead of getting an annulment, like any sane, sensible person would, Pike uses the situation to his advantage and moves himself into Cora’s little apartment. Much to Cora’s dismay. For the record, Cora does not want to be married to Pike, no matter how much she’s ‘swooned’ after him in the past. She wants him out, and she’s willing to do pretty much anything to get rid of him. Herein ensues a laugh out loud, fun and steamy rollercoaster ride. Alas, all fairground rides have to come to an end, and Cora and Pike’s ride has a few unexpected twists and turns that cause this ride to come to a crashing halt. So many emotions between these two, I loved them. There was also a very unexpected constant throughout this story, Keiko, she really comes into her own, I love her brutal honesty, and we get to see a more emotional side to her this time round. I loved her unexpected friendship with Pike, so sweet. The audio version is narrated by Vanessa Edwin and John Hartley (new to me), and they were perfect, all the feels and all the emotions coming through. The story has interconnecting characters from previous books, but this can most definitely be read as a standalone.
