Narrator voice is grating

that narrator's voice should be considered torture. I legit switched to reading 20 sec into the 1st chapter. (I prefer audio heavily).

I'm looking forward to the next books. I always dig the "suprise your a bad ass, with super powers and everyone wants to kill you" book.

Amazing story, pure nerd crack lol

The erotic parts aren't bad or poorly written, but at times I skipped them because the story is amazing and I just wanted more. That said, I've recommended this book to a couple dozen friends. Take that as you will.

It's a unique harem novel

The story arc is different in that it involves Psi power for the superpower ability for those who can unleash it. There are 7 distinct Psi powers but each psi mage has an affinity to just one ... except power mages who can harness all 7. The MC is, seeming, the only one in existence and has to acquire each ability by having a carnal bonding with a psi mage with that ability. One bonded, the women become subservient and willingly accept him as the dominating figure.

The first novel covers the MCs psi awakening and acquiring 2 psi mage females but along the way lots of graphic carnal cavorting and brutal bloody carnage follows as they attempt to stay one step ahead of multiple factions that are bent on killing them. The book stalls a bit too often when the MC repeats similar events when moving forward in the story, giving the telling a bit of a drawn-out feel to it.

The Hondo Jinx's writing is very good as well as Andrea Parsneau' narrating performance with one exception. While her female characters voice and accents are distinct along with most of the male character voices; her MC choice is a bit too heavy with the Texas cowboy accent.

This was pretty good. The story is pretty entertaining, and the narration was very well done

I like your story to have all of these features.The near raider does a good job . I will get the next book in the series.

fun new series

a lot different than Dan the Barbarian. this was a fun new read, I cannot wait to read book 2. and as always Andrea is Amazing

Hondo Jinx does it again with another great haremlit series! DAN THE BARBARIAN was amazing in the mythical world. But now in the straight magical “powers” world, this one sets itself apart from any other. Love it!

Excellent story telling from a country boy

Loved this book from the first minute. Parsneau kills is of course and Hondo proves more than capable with providing an evocative story with great pacing, action and amazing characters.

This story just gripped me and didn't let go. Before I knew it, it was over, I couldn't belive it and wanted more instantly.

No real reason to care about the cast
Andrea's performance is pretty good, though not fond of the MCs voice

really enjoy this book, have both read and now listened to it. my only concern is whether the immensely talented narrator, Andrea parsneau has enough "voices" in her repertoire for all of the distinct characters
