Just an amazing story!

What an amazing story! It really took me on a trip! It has many up and downs and really made me fee for the characters. Speaking of…. I loved the characters as well! Aida started out like a surly child and really grew I to her own! Dante starts out on top…gets knocked down (by more than just Aida) and rises back to the top. Each character held me entranced….just wondering what they would do next.

What a happy surprise this story was. Its my first by this author and won’t be my last! I did listen to this on audio. Both narrators are new to me. They did an exceptional job and I would happily listen to more by them.

Good start and middle

Pretty good. Strong start. Drug on a little too much at the end. A little unrealistic as well. The main character-woman, changed a little too much and too fast. I would have liked to see more character development in that area to justify her 180.

A layered mafia boss and his prize

This one was not quite your typical mafia books as I felt the MMC was not your super rough guy. He had his moments, oh boy, he did. Hot enough to set you on fire, but he also did things like cook and try to take care of his woman. I loved the deviation from the super super touch macho guy in those little moments. Seeing both sides of the man made the story richer. It was beautifully performed by Chloe and Theo, who were wonderful in their roles.

Good story!

Dante and Aida were definitely an intriguing couple! They got together because her father gave her up as payment to Dante for a mess up he made. But then Dante was very patient waiting for her to come to him. Their back and forth was very amusing. Although I was not completely blown away by the narration. While Theo Sinclair was really engaging, I found that Chloe Ryan spoke in a way that kind if made me feel sleepy. As this is the first time I have listened to anything she has narrated I would still listen to her again in the future, as that may just have been how she interpreted Aida. I did rather enjoy some of the other characters, so I am looking forward to more in this series to see what else this family is up to!

B.B. Hamel is a new author to me. This is book 1 in the Leone Crime Family series. I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait to see what will happen next. Chloe Ryan and Theo Sinclair did great job narrating.

A really good story. I have listened to it several time and it doesn’t let you down. Although, listening to mafia type situations probably isn’t good for altruistic thinking.! I loved the narration speakers. It is read smoothly. The best part is when they want to name their son-to-be after his friend and fellow soldier. I cried!

Great story, characters and narrators

I love a great mafia story and this was completely enthralling.. This is the first book in the Leone Crime Family series and I cant wait for the others to be released. It was well written with great character development and suspense.

Exhilarating

This was such an exhilarating story.
We actually get to be a part of what’s going on in the family, the take downs, the meets, the new beginnings.

There’s plenty of hot scenes that bring the story up a notch. Can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.

Obsessed With His Bride

I enjoyed this book and the narration was great! I found Aida's growth and change throughout the story to be absolutely believable. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and turn into something special. Lots of action as befitting a mafia story, but nothing over the top or just for action's sake. All in all, very worth the credit!

good mafia series

The underworld of the mafia comes to life in this action packed story.
Aida's father, Roger, is in trouble by stealing from a club owned by the Russian Mob. Dante Valenti, is a capo in the Leone Crime Family, Roger sometimes works for Dante. He gave the money back to Dante and offered Aida, as a repayment, hoping that Dante will spare his life.
Dante returned the money to the Vlas Volkov of the Russian mob. Vlas decided that wasnt enough, he wants Aida too.
Dante wanted Aida for himself. and keep her safe from Vlas.
Aida is a feisty, independent woman. She resigned her fate as being a captor of Dante. She knew that she would never be free, even if she left Dante, because Vlas would always be looking for her.
Dante made his own decisions Conerning the the Russians that would put his mafia family in danger by marrying Aida.
Dante is busy trying to keep Aida safe, keeping his territory from being overtaken by a new faction moving in, and his trouble with Vlas.
Chloe Ryan and Theo Sinclair narration brings this Mafia story to life.
