A little over the top on the “I hate him” theme but it was a cute story overall.

The ending was cute too ❤️❤️

Enemies to lovers ignite in this HOT read!

Remy has just been passed up for a promotion. A promotion that should have been hers. Making matters worst, the person who was chosen, is her nemesis, Justin. Justin and Remy used to be really close but his father caused a lot of trouble. Remy hates Justin and working together is going to be interesting, to say the least. Eventually, Remy and Justin give in to their passion. Interesting characters with a few BDSM scenes thrown in. The narrator was easy to listen to and made me interested in the characters.

Good narration, fun, fast romance

While Meghan Kelly does a good job with playing both male and female voices, it would be better to have both a male and female narrator. Her voice for one of the characters, Blair, is a bit odd- halting and unnatural but I think it was meant to be. It was just a little odd to listen to! But then again, Blair is a very odd character too :)

This is a second chance romance- Remy and Justin were close friends when they were younger but their fathers had a falling out (Justin’s father is awful). Now they are grown up and Justin becomes Remi’s boss, taking a position that Remi feels should be hers. Throw in a client, who is a big deal, who forces them to work together, and they need to figure out a way to get along. Personally, I think that Remi was a bit too unprofessional, which bothers me extensively, as a working woman.

They finally do learn about what is important and there are some steamy parts when these two couldn’t stop themselves from coming together. They have to overcome the past and learn more about what happened from the other person’s perspective. These characters were good and the book was enjoyable, especially when the author gives us more perspective on their developing emotional relationship. Also, descriptors of the environment, especially Blair’s compound is great- truly escapism. Blair is so odd but yet, towards the end, really kind of endearing.

Chemistry overload in this hot tale

I love this story of friends to enemies to lovers, with light BDSM, romance. BB Hamel knows how to write romance sprinkled with just enough angsty feelings, forgiveness, steam, and never forgetting the happily ever after.

Remy and Justin grew up together and were extremely close. When Justin's father does the unthinkable and gets rid of his partner, who is Remy's father, things get sticky. The childhood friends are forced to part and turn into enemies. Fast forward about 15 years - Remy works for a prestigious ad agency and has buster her bum to get where she is, hoping she lands the director position that opens up. She is in for a surprise when Justin shows up as her new boss.
There is resentment and Remy has no issues telling Justin how she feels about the whole set up - but the chemistry is undeniable when they are forced to go to Hawaii and work together to land a huge VR client. Will they be able to leave the past where it needs to be left or will it drive them further apart? You are going to have to listen to see.

Meghan Kelly brings both Remy and Justin to life wonderfully - she portrays the emotions of each character and makes the story even more enjoyable
