Under-rated

This book & author doesn't get enough hype. This is my first title by Keri Lake & won't be my last! I love audio books & when the performance is there, it makes it so much better, so thank you as well to the narrators.
As for the book, absolutely loved listening to it. it's a title I could listen to again & would buy a physical copy. If they made this into a Movie or Series, I would watch. Keeps your attention, never boring or stale. I love how they flash back to the past & reference the future as well. I will say I loved Lucetina(sp) and the Barron's story more. It was more moving & captivating vs Farren's more modern, ordinary life. The spice was good & balances the dynamics. Looking forward to the next book!

this was my first gothic romance and I loved it! unique story I really didn't know what was going to happen

Felt like 3 books in 1!

This book lasted so long it genuinely felt like 3 books in 1 with the amount of action, character change and lore that was put into it. Extremely well written. Under rated for sure. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Such amazing storytelling

I loved the slow burn and parallel multi universe storylines. The performance was amazing and captivating.

Wow!

There is a lot going on in this book and at times I lost track of who was who and in what world. When you read it you’ll understand what I mean. But that being said this book will pull you in and by the end you’re so wrapped up in the characters that you won’t want it to end.

This was a great book! You get addicted to the characters.

It jumped right into the 2 worlds and all these characters but it wasn't hard to keep up and came together nicely. There were infected events that I wasn't expecting and damn if it didn't get dark within a few chapters. It was with a purpose however not just a little gruesome for kicks and girls like some books can be. This was free but I'm going to buy the next one now.

Love this series! Wish they read their own lines….

This is such an interesting, unique story (at least to me!) and I love the spice and gothic theme. I REALLY wish they rather than just reading their own chapters, the narrators would have read their own lines as well. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by graphic audio but still. It’s a little weird reading romantic and spice scenes and the narrator is having to make “man voice” and it sounds just off. lol

Didn't need two VAs

The female voice actor was amazing and the story enchanting, good read indeed highly recommend
