OK, But Not Great

For me, the content was the same old same old. Nothing new, just old ideas and concepts presented from a different author. I was looking forward to some new ideas and suggestions but in my opinion the author never produced. Mostly common sense suggestions - meet lots of people, make then feel important, help them so they will help you.

Great book but could have been shorter.

Loved it but it just seemed liked it kept repeating a lot of the same information. I would have preferred a shorter version I suppose.

Helpful for every professional

Like many of the books we read, this one has many insights as to how to perform better. Here the author explains ways that each of us should use to become the ultimate connector with people. I've used much of what he says and it works. I recommend this book.

Amazing

I wish I had read it earlier. Though I have naturally incorporate a lot of principles in my life. It was still good to reaffirm a few things.

A business & life book all to read

I wish that schools would teach information such as this book presents. I'm a business and life coach and constantly recommending books to improve the lives of my tribe.

Learn How To Think Like a CEO

Would you listen to Never Eat Alone, Expanded and Updated again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to this book again, but wish it was condensed down a bit.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's clear from Never Eat Alone that Keith Ferrazzi loves networking and is good at it. I knew these types of people existed, but before this book never met one so dedicated to the craft. Ferrazzi states networking is crucial to becoming successful personally and professionally, but I couldn't help think at a certain point it's meaningless. Kind of like when you try to stay in touch with hundreds of FB friends. Keith doesn't admit this, but I think he views networking as a game and does really enjoy networking for the sake of networking. Can this type of personality type only become friends with fellow networkers? Might seem phony to some.

What about Richard Harries’s performance did you like?

Business like, clear voice.

What did you learn from Never Eat Alone, Expanded and Updated that you would use in your daily life?

I learned the perspective of a well groomed Ivy League graduate turned entrepreneur and CEO from LA. Learned how people with this type of pedigree think.

Any additional comments?

If nothing else I took away from this book there is power that comes with a strong network. Not a social media network, but one with regular human face to face contact.

Choppy audio, much self-praise, helpful info

The audio is a patchwork. Ferrazzi overdoes self-praise, but maps some effective strategies. Painfully completed.

Out of all the leadership and personal development books I have ever read this is the best GUIDE book to building a life full of purposeful and meaningful relationships. There is something I could not apply in my industry but most of it I can and there are a host of ideas that I gain for my company thanks to Keith’s experience. I will use this book as a go to in my day to day. Thank You

Deep and meaningful

Ferrazzi extends Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends to specific actions that are applicable to current times. He simplifies it all down to one principle, which is generosity.
