Resumen del Editor

Keith Ferrazzi is a master networker who claims his secret is merely reaching out to other people. And what distinguishes highly successful people from everyone else is the way they use the power of relationships, so that everyone wins. In Never Eat Alone, Ferrazzi presents the specific steps and mindset he uses to connect with the thousands of individuals in his Rolodex.

Ferrazzi's form of connecting to people is based on generosity, helping friends connect with other friends. He distinguishes genuine relationship-building from the crude, desperate glad-handling usually associated with "networking". In the course of the book, Ferrazzi outlines the timeless strategies shared by the world's most connected individuals, from Katherine Graham to Bill Clinton, Vernon Jordan to the Dalai Lama.

Chock full of specific advice on handling rejection, getting past gatekeepers and more, Never Eat Alone is destined to take its place as an inspirational classic.

Great book; not may favorite narration

I enjoyed this book, but was not the biggest fan of the narration. However, after a few minutes of listening I was able to get used to it after each stopping point. I would have have recommended it to friends and associates.

Good, but self-glorifying

This book has some good content. It's obvious that Ferrazzi is good at networking and has learned how to meet people--especially since the entire book is peppered with name-dropping and annoying, at times condescending, self-praise. Every time I listen I get the feeling that his overarching message is: "one day you could be great, maybe even half as great as I am." I kept expecting after the first chapters for him to tell some stories from other points of view--maybe historical or from great business men, but it never happens. "I" is the most commonly used word in the book, Ya-ya the most often mentioned company (he was the CEO). The narrator's slightly nasal voice doesn't help with the tone of the book either.

All that having been said, there is definitely some good advice and reading this book provides real motivation to start forming better relationships. For example, I think his advice to look for what you can give to, not get from a relationship, is excellent.

Actually Very Good Narration

Personally, I find the narration of Never Eat Alone to be done well and an easy listen. Yes, there are prolonged pauses every once in a while, but it seems to be nothing more than the narrator ensuring that a heading is separated from text. Yes, there is a theatrical style to the narration, but only the same you would get with a TV or radio show. Overall, the narration does not detract at all from the excellent content. This audiobook is well worth the credit it costs.

Core Knowledge for Social Networking

Amazingly well done. Inspiring to say the least.

6 months later, after being new in a new town and a new high end position, after using his principals, I can say it was a solid success.

It opened my eyes to 'Networking' Not just for business to get sales, but for friends, contacts etc. This has turned me slowly into a Super Connector and the power when you connect people is truly amazing. Now my Social Calendar is full, to full in fact. New friends are accumlating and I am reaching out to help others with this very book.

This and Dale Carnegies 9 Principals puts you on a solid core.
I also reccommend Psycho-Cybernetics.. with these 3 you are in control of YOUR LIFE !

50% soild facts and techniques, 50% Spiritual on living a life for others, it strikes the right balance.

Interesting but not amazing.

If you read any book about Success, you'll get the same information. Its interesting but not life changing. Unless this is the first self-help book you read. Though you should pick up something else.

Great book on networking/connecting with people

Learn how to connect with people and grow your business. Ferazzi will teach you how to be confident and go after what you want in a respectable manner. He lists methods for reaching even the most un-reachable people and describes how to turn small talk into business deals. This is a superb marketing and personal interaction tool.

AWFUL NARRATOR!

I really wanted to listen to this book but the narrator is just awful. The pace is incredibly slow...2 second pauses between words. It sounds like he's reading to special ed.

The Only Regret is not Reading This Sooner

This book is an absolute eye-opener for me. It challenged my thoughts about political relationships in college at work and more. It offered me greater sense of purpose and fulfillment through building contacts into an intimate network.
Maybe I wanted a different narrator at the start, but within the first chapter I was wowed by the whole experience of this download.
