Publisher's summary

Two old dudes want to kill me. Oh, and one of them is my ancestor....

And after centuries of practice, they’re pretty good at the whole murder thing. But at least they want to kill each other just as badly.

Now, I’ve taken down a Greek goddess, worn a Horseman’s mask, and I ride a homicidal unicorn who hates rainbows with a passion. Some might say sending two senior citizens to a permanent retirement home should be a breeze.

It ain’t.

Because that’s not my biggest concern. One of my friends is in danger, or possibly dying, and I need to get her back before her fiancé kills me. But finding her introduces me to new worlds of pain. The biggest of these being my own past - which has been a blatant lie - and a parting gift from my parents - which might have just been the coin toss for the Apocalypse Olympics.

I’m beginning to realize that none of the old gods, legends, or monsters have been idle the last few centuries. They’ve been waiting, picking sides, and scheming schemes.

Of course, maybe one of those two old dudes will punch my ticket and save me the headache. A wizard can hope, right? Because either way, I’m about to have a very bad series of days....

If you like Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Ilona Andrews, Linsey Hall, McKenzie Hunter, or Ella Summers, you will love the eighth installment of the Temple Chronicles.

Nate Temple is something

Really glad I don't have his life. Then on the other hand, if I did, I'd be very board with this life.

This is the one!!!

Hang on boys and girls. All that stuff that has been driving you crazy about this series for the last however long you’ve been on this ride for me I am about a month in. Shayne gets you on this one by the shoulder and screams in your face “this is why I get the big bucks”. Not literally lol but Yeah! This is the one that sits you down and has you thinking it all thru and shaking your head saying I thought I knew what was going on here. But I was wrong!! Just WOW really impressed by how long he was able to carry you into this series with the questions hanging there unanswered and our hero just puts it all together!! Well done! I can’t wait for the next one to start, in 5.4.3.2.1 This is audible

This series is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!

One of the greatest series I've ever read. You become attached to the character and totally end up hating the villains and rooting for Nate and his friends and family. GREAT JOB Mr. Silver. You've really created a work of art here and I am so happy I discovered these gems.

Nate move one step closer to be in the catalyst,

Another superb blending of mythology. Bringing the round table, the hammer of thunder and lightning. The horsemen of the apocalypse, the faerie folk one-man ling possessing all four powers. Are we on the verge of Ragnarok Disney temple Destin to begin the apocalypse, or change the course to keep mankind and monster kind, safe from some unseen danger that approaches and threatens all of existence. I look forward to the next book to see.

great addition to the storyline

I like how the author has changed some of his writing styles as to address some of the mysteries we were left with in previous book. he still leaves things open ended but more or less points out that things are open ended. I like this a lot better. I use to think the author just forgot about certain details and at the end of the book I figured they must not be important. now that isn't the case and I really like that.

Better

It is one of the better books. Got more answers than questions. I wish there had been more horsemen, but I will take what I can get.

Amazingly Imaginative

As with all of Shayne Silver's books, it did not disappoint. The characters and plot keep you craving more. Also, the narrator does an exceptional job bringing the words to life.
